Blood Bowl Coaches are continually faced more and more with the problem of more and more Niggling and serious injuries Clogging up their Team Roster, to the extent that they are now looking into the possiblities of employing Surgeons to tidy up after the crippling effects of a couple of mighty blows on their most valuable players.
Once immediately after the game each Surgeon can put the player of the coaches choice under the knife in an attempt to cure the Niggling/Serious Injury caused during the game.
to represent his success roll 1 D6
1: The Surgeon accidentally cuts through one of his patients, major arteries, within seconds the player has bled to death, and must be removed permanantly from the Team Roster.

2: Try as he might the Surgeon cannot fix the problem, in fact his meddling has created another problem and the player must make another roll on the injury table.

3: All the Surgeons probing comes to naught, and he is unsuccessful in his attempts at curing the player. Moreover his meddling means that the player must now miss 2 games instead of the Normal 1 due to the extended recovery process.

4: The Surgeon although unable to correct the injury, has made no lasting after effect, and no adjustment is made to the players stats.

5: The Surgeon certainly knows his stuff, any Niggling injury suffered during the game is cleared up for good, although the player still misses the next game recuperating.

6: The Operation is a complete success, and injury suffered during the game is completely cured, and the players stats are returned to what they were at the start of the match. Also the operation is such a success that the player can play in the next game.
