Double 5 for a mummy

Post by martynq »

One of my mummies has just rolled a double 5 for his second skill. He already has Block. I'm thinking of taking the movement but just thought I'd see if people had other opinions.

Cheers,
Martyn

I'd say Frenzy is the obvious choice.

the extra movement seems a bit of a watse as you never really want him to move that far anyway, I would say stand firm would be far more useful for a blocker

I disagree. Mummies could always use an extra MV...instead of standing up and GFI to hit he can eliminate the roll. extra move always allows a player to cover more ground.

I'd go frenzy or MOVE.

I like Dodge. There is nothing more infuriating than getting the dodgordown result and the Mummy going "Yea, I got this." Now its only 1 in 6 that knock you down...nice. Plus it it then actually possible to go blitz someone in an emergency.

I'd take the move and add break tackle to the list of possible skills later on. That way you not only can blitz somewhat good with ma5 (up to 6 fields if you dare gfi), and the mark mummy with cheap player to make it immobile thing won't work either. Use the other mummy as your heavy blocker.

I have rolled doubles for both of my mummies and I took Stand Firm for the first (1st skill) and Frenzy for my second mummy (now Block, Frenzy).

All I can say is that Frenzy really rocks!!! You can put almost every opponent down on his a** :D (with ST 5 you will nearly always have 2 dice). Furthermore, by using Frenzy you can move quite well across the pitch (without needing dodge 8) ), just by pushing your opponent in the right direction.

So, guess what - I'd take Frenzy... :D

Best regards,

Tante Kaethe

I once had a Mv4 Mummie and he was great (indeed the not needing a GFI to blitz when standing up was a good thing) but I'd rather use the doubles for Stand Firm (Guard as a third skill) or Frenzy (and I'd prefer Frenzy)

I voted Stand Firm, though after reading the posts I think Frenzy is actually better...

Frenzy or stand firm...depends what you want from him really. The extra MA allowing him to blitz from prone could be useful though. I'd go SF myself.

I'd take Frenzy.

If it were 4,6 I think I'd take the MA though.
