Please help

I have downladed all the teams so it would seem, but what else do I need to download to play? Is there a step by step instruction list that I am missing to set up playing?

Let me be more specific. I presume from pbembb.com I am supposed to download the file highlighted in red? That is 2.4k BETA. But it says I need to unzip all files. How do I do this?

And another thing. If I don't have WinZip on my computer I presume that means I can't play the game until I buy it?

Yes, you need to "buy" WinZip. Or just download the latest beta test for free.

most pc mags include utilities such as win zip on the CD / DVD

I saw my Father in London today, he gave me a Windows 95 disc. I presume WinZip is on this. I have XP, I can't believe this does not have a WinZip programme!

xp should be able to read zip files anyway

i use winrar rather than winzip anyway

win95 cd won't have it on there (well i would be very surprised if it did)

the reason XP did not open the ZIP files and you needed winzip, is because XP does not understand the latest extensions to the LWZ compresion standard that the WinZip and company have added. XP reads pure LWZ compresion without all the extra stuff added in winzip 8+. So anything ziped in winzip7 or lower should be readable.

Maybe you have corrupted files? The PBEM site server tends to cut short the files. Try downloading them from the Yahoo group, or ask to have them e=mailed to you.

The PBEM tool is 9666kb, and team creator is 366kb in size. If yours are off then you need to re-download the files.
