OK, had my first game vs a new DE team played by a great coach. He took 2 Blitzers, 1 thrower, 8 linemen, 2 RRs. 1st half was tough, he KOed 2, BH 1. I managed a defensive TD on turn 7 and a BH on his thrower. 2nd half I ground out a 6 turn TD and evened the odds with A BH and a kill on his Linos. Throw a rock BH another lineman. Finished out the game with all his players eating dirt. No fouls :wink:


I used all my RRs, and most were pretty huge. I got 1 regular skill, 4 guys within an MVP, +1 FF, and 70K in the bank. No complaints yet.

I like 1 Troll 10 Beasts 3rr and i think 8ff

This way I got a few early games in which to get my troll block. After which the high fan factor has let me buy 3 chaos warriors in 5 games.. and yes the troll now has block :)

Only real problem I'm having is that I play the team like an orc team, which means its my beasts doing the scoring rather than my CW, as a result my CW still have no skills :(

Just Started a New Chaos Team

I play in a small league, 6 teams total, where last season I played an Undead Team that took me to the finals.

All the teams, HE, DE, Liz, Gob, Dwarf are returning for a second season but I choose due to the rule changes and for the fun factor to start with a new TR100 team.

I choose,

1 Troll
2 CW
8 Beastmen
3 RR
1 FF

The 1 FF is a gamble but several of the teams in the league have reasonable FFs so I can piggy back on them until I get my team really rolling.

We have a set schedule and I drew the Goblins ( TR 160 approx ) for the first game. I won it 1-0 causing 4 casualties ( It helped that one of the 3 handicaps that I received was RSC for one player of choice - CW of course ). I earned 70K and FF went to 2. One Beastman was SI and will miss the next game. One Beastman will now have Block as his first skill and one CW will now have Block as his first skill.

The next game is against the Lizardmen.

Biggest question is what to do with 70K? Do I bank for my 3rd CW, buy a replacement Beastman and bank 10K, or buy an Apo and bank 20K. My leaning right now is to bank all 70K. The 1 beastman is going to return for game 3. If someone dies than I have the money to replace them in hand. If no one dies than I will be able to afford the 3rd CW which just increases the strenght of the front line.

One other side thought. I am thinking of trying to get more of a Khorne type feel by passing on get mutations for the most part except maybe BH and go for as much frenzy on the team as I can get. Any thoughts?
