Horns A Plenty Chaos Team Development
Hi guys I need some advancement advice on this Chaos team
As you can see I have two skill choices to make at present - a normal skill for my big handed beastman, and a doubles roll (3s) for an unskilled Beast. I have two games left this season against Lizards and Orcs which I would like to get some points from, but I'm planning to use this team next season so am torn between immediately useful skills and stuff that I can build on for next season.
For the double Claw, Frenzy, Foul Appearance and Big Hand are tempting. Claw will hopefully help in my remaining games and be useful if I add dirty player next. Extra arms might let me build more of passing threat into my game (which tends to be faster and looser than conventional Chaos play). Leader is a possibility too as I am re-roll light.
However it is how to develop the Big Hand that has me more confused - Sure Hands seems the obvious option, but is it too obvious? Have I missed something?

No it's my ECBBL team - is starting to develop better than my LPL one, but that might be because ECBBL doesn't use ageing. The ageing is really starting to hurt in LPL - I have at least half the roster with Stat decreases!
@Grotemius - Block is possible, I'm just not sure it makes best use of his Big Hand.
On the other guy I'm, leaning towards Foul Appearance to develop him into a pass blocker for next season, but Claws are always nice.

afaic sure hands is the obvious obviousness on the Big Handed beastman... next doubles would be where the problems arise tho: NoS, Dodge, Two Heads (all to ensure he can get into the fray to use that wonderful hand of his
)
for the doubles, i'm playing in a league where everyone choses claws or RSC, so i'm leaning towards originality, thus i'll suggest a couple of developments, not necessarily teh uber combo, but fun for sure
- tentacles, then shadowing, then tackle, aka "no you're not leaving my tackle zone"
- dauntless, then multiple block (plus your starting horns), aka "you 2 have just been blitzed by a single beastman" ^^
- foul appearance, then pass block, aka "i may be ugly but you're missing your pass". you can combine this with tackle and shadowing, for even more fun when marking a receiver
if you roll other doubles, you can even go for Very Long Legs (for the interception bonus) or Tentacles (like said in the first option).

Longer term I think Sure Hands is a better choice than block for the Big Hand. In the short term its really a question of how much Strip Ball you are up against.
The double I'd take Claw as your best bet. It will rip even Orcs to shreds and having 2 makes the other one less of a target. You aren't in an environment where people can avoid playing you so go ahead.
Tentacles isn't worth it on S3 - you'd be better off with Diving Tackle. Stand Firm might be useful (but I'd really want to have Guard or Block already). Frenzy maybe, and make him into your safety (you've already got the tacklers & strip baller though).

Yeah I see the reasoning for another Claw, this is leading my options though I'm still contemplating FA to develop a pass blocker - won't have much effect in my remaining games though.
And I'm pretty much decided on Sure Hands, I would have really liked the double here Pass would have been a no brainer.

OK, since this isn't for the LPL team, I'll add my 1gp-worth.
Sure Hands for the guy with Big Hand.
Probably Claw for the beastman with double.
Martyn
P.S. I agree with you about the aging for the LPL, Al. I really wish there was someway we could get Phil to change it. Seeing what it has done to your team is one of the reasons why I'm thinking that I might leave the LPL before next season.
