They were modified in the last BBRC to drop 2 wights.

I didn't really think they were overpowered before, but they aren't overly weak now either.

They are not broken.
Be carefull though.
Focus on scoring with ghouls and wights instead of smashing with mummies.
This will make you more popular with your opponents.
Otherwise people might think your mummies are broken arguing 2 "big guys" is to many ignoring the fact that most opponents can run circles around you and outscore you a lot on a few lucky dices.

actualy, theyn onhly restrict the necromantic team... this is a quote from the review:

Necromantic Team – Official. (As printed in the Blood Bowl 2003 Annual. Replace the Razor Sharp Claws on the Werewolf to Claws. Change Wight Allocation from 0-4 to 0-2. See the Rules Review PDF in the resources section.)

so the undead can still have 4 i think...

The Undead are not "broken", but they are one of the top sides in BB, at least in the short term and at tournaments.

I have found the Ghouls to be the key players - cheap, plentiful, and they develop beautifully.

Cheers

Undead are great in the short term, but don't have a lot of staying power in a league. They used to be a bit broken with the old Piling On and 4 wights, but those changes have made them a reasonable roster.

I always thought they had great staying power, in long leagues, when Attrition really starts to mount on the other teams.

I'd tend to agree here. Regen means you survive uber-killer teams better then a team with an apoth, but suffer a bit more attrition, at least against important players, against others team types.

Cheap lineman you can get for free means it is very hard to really destroy the team over the course of a season.

I've always thought that undead are very good. In our original leagues our undead players were rubbish, but as of late they've been getting to know their teams and we've started a league without the new rules review and I'm thinking that our undead player will do very well. They have players that can hit hard, players that are decent in a fight and some good runners. The only drawback is that their lineman positions are very slow and unagile and con only be relied upopn to block and be blocked. But surely only elves use their linemen for anything other than marking and blocking?

Since the release of the new WHFB eddition I've thought that the undead team should be changed into Khemri and Vampire counts, and I'm glad that this has been done. After all Mummies don't even exist anymore. And I've just orded myself a necromantic team, cus they look cool.

They're good, but not the best in all respects.
