New WE Team needs advice

I have a woodelf team with ten lineman and one wardancer.
I have 2 rerolls and 8 FF.
Our team has a house rule that allows teams with 7AV to get +1AV at a cost of 10,000 per player.

Is it worth trading the rerolls to make 10 of my WE AV8?

WOW, that house rule will have quite some impact. Woodies, Amazons and Norse and Skaven will rule ...

Can you only buy it at team building or later as well? If you can buy it later, i'd go for the roster you have, then buy an apothecary, then upgrade AV on 4-5 lineelfs (for the line), then buy some other players, and always upgarde AV with spare cash...

I'd be very tempted to drop a reroll and upgrade your WD and 4 Line elves.

In the long term the investment will be worth it.

Hmm in this case, i'd go for 0 RRs ... the AV upgrade is just too good not to max it out.

lets see:
2 Wardancer +AV 260k
5 LineElfs +AV 400k
4 LineElfs 280k
6 FF

Imo, the Catchers and Throwers need the AV upgrade the least. First buy is an Apo to protect your investment. then RRs and extra players.

Yep, the AV8 will be a dramatic impact on the options that you have. They will survive a lot better and you still have all the advantages of WE. I agree with Tim, max out on the AV and add rerolls later when money starts coming in.

What about new players? When you start filling slots (or replacing vacated slots). Can you upgrade those players as well?

Wow, you get an nice Amazon team in this league setup:

4 Blitzer +AV
2 Catcher +AV
1 Thrower
4 Linewoman +AV
1 RR
9 FF

thats 10 AV8 dodge Amazons ... the Unhurtables

Wow, that's one sick houserule, 1 AV for only 10k!!!

They should allow it to other teams as well, though, this makes AV7 teams waaaaaaay too good, IMHO

This rule is too powerful, skaven can take starting gutter runner with AV8, then pray to roll a double and give spikes for +1 in AV, an incredible GR at 9 of AV.

Therefore team with AV9 can easily go to AV10 that make them hardest to injury. (Like Orcs)

Drop the rule or take it but is dangerous.

How long is your league going to be? how many games? against how many and which bashy teams?

I mean, if it is only say...4 games, the RR are of much more use then AV8, but if you are going to play 20 (?) games AV8 is worth a lot more as you will have the RR when the season goes to finals.

I don't think it makes a lot of difference if you allow it for other teams as well....it benefits the teams the most that are fragile at this moment, but have other things going for them,

Yes, it greatly benefits the AV7 teams, not only because they have most money to spare at team creation, but this would make it slightly farer.

Still a sick houserule, no matter what...

1 re-roll is enough you can than upgrade 5 players to av 8 it will be great, wish we used that rule.......
