Scrubs
i think this rule would help teams out that just got crushed their previous game.
teams may hire scrubs for free up to a limit to bring them up to 11 fieldable players before a game
scrub: MA 5
ST 3
AG 2
AV 6
basically they are just bodies to allow a team to field 11.

Yeah, good idea, but if the scrubs earn SPP then what? Would the scrubs become permanent members of the team or be discarded after the game they were brought in for?
My take is that it's a good idea, but the scrubs should be treated as freebooters, that is, they leave the team after the game. If playing in a league, all the SPP these players gain are lost, so that the team gains no permanent advantage from taking on free players.

There was an optional rule about this...you could have a farm team...every game you could roll to see if you could bring a guy up from the minors...or you could grab one or two without rolling, but the had the equivalent of some temporary negatraits....things like not getting to keep their first five spp's or some lower stats until they had played a few games.

I like the of making them race based. They wouldn't have to be temporary that way either. If they get say 10 SPP they can improve a stat toward their races lineman stat line. Once they get them all, they become a normal lineman, free except for the SPP they have soaked up.

Now I'm suddenly taken with the idea of an entire Scrub race. Their sole purpose in life - just like their futuristic relatives: the RedShirts - is to avoid their inevitable doom at the hands of something big and scary.duff wrote:I like the of making them race based...
