Sacrificial auto FF increase

Post by Grumbledook »

OK this may sound a bit daft at first

but how about if you have a player over 100 spp and you volentarilly run him into the crowd for instant death

but on the upshot the fans are happy to be able to take a peice of their star player home with them so your ff goes up by 1

of course we would have to put some sort of limit on if they have injuries don't want people to do it with players that are worth retiring anyway

Hi Grumbledook,
I think that this is taking team "management" way too far.

... and after.

I really don't see the point in this at all. We'll end up with really inflated fan factors. Who wants to play a team with a ff so high you have no chance to win a coin toss?

ff has nothing to do with coin toss and i don't see that many players over 100spp that coaches will want to swap for 1 ff

maybe if they get pushed into the crowd and killed you could add +1 to the ff roll

The short answer is "no", but it is a qualified "no" because there are odd ways of interpreting the question which could justify the answer "yes".

You're right. I meant kickoff. But I'm sure you knew that...

... and I have been around when that idea was getting shape. I do also give a hafling PO + jump up when he could have block and kick instead, so what do you expect. [Too bad flings can't get frenzy, btw.].

I still think the ff+ would be a fluffy solution :-). To make it count any 100+spp player should be instant death too, no stun/bh/si :-). Oh, and goblin and fling teams should get ff+ if they manage to throw 12 of their own stunties into the crowd (in one game).

Arr, whatever, I guess all those slaps with smelly fish are slowly taking their toll.

Nice idea for a house rule, but not worth adding it to the core rules which should be pretty straightforward IMHO.
