Random player cards
The random player cards included in the staring box are both sided, how can you then still use them?!?
(you cannot turn them all around and pick 'em out)

[quote="campaigner"]If you mean the little yellow pieces with numbers on them, I think you're supposed to pick them out of a dark jug or something like that.
...or you can just throw a die
c[/quote
the problem with dice rolling is that the chances are uneven: your more precious players should have numbers like 11 or 12 if you don't want to be chosen (during throw a rock for instance), or 7 if you do (mvp's mainly), i think i'll just paint one side completely blan

True if you roll 2D6.
But you can also roll:
1D2*1D8 (=> 1-16, comes with the box)
1D16 (yes they exist, i have one)
1D20 (ignoring 17-20)
1D12 (for starting rosters)

1D20 (ignoring 17-20)

I got mine years ago from a shop in either Richond upon Thames or Kingston upon Thames. I could only give descriptions on how to get to these shops, and that would only be relevant to locals.

Americans can buy here ... http://shop.store.yahoo.com/gsonline/16sideddice.html
I got mine at the biggest gaming con/fair in Germany (Spiel in Essen), two big dice booths, both had them.
Then there's http://www.without-name.de/ offering W16 (=D16) for a very low price. As the shop behind this is in Mannheim, i went there and after asking the 5th guy he finally remembered where he hid them. I bought all the stock he had (2) and when i asked if he could order more he said no ... so ordering it from them might be worth a try, but don't expect to really get them.

I think they work well. It's basicly a D10 with 3 more segments ... the "inventor" guarantees the design is tested and it seems he got a patent for it ...
Basicly all games in my 3-man minileague are played using D16. MVPs look still well distributed.

damn...
i was just about to ask for someone to give me the structual format so i could make it myself, but since the guy's got it patented it's a bad idea...
I just hope i can get them in Aus...
but I generally have 15 players, so i use a d3 (d6 halaved round up) for top middle or bottom 5, and then a d5 (d10 halved round up)
