I think that building one or two intercepters on your team is smart, but building the whole team around this principle is going to hurt you in the long run. You won't be flexible enough to deal with anything other than a passing game. Bashing teams don't pass much and would have a real advantage against a team that was only built to intercept.
Well after 18 games my team ended up 16-2 and taking the season trophey in the end. I had to go against all strength teams in the tournament. Two orcs and a Chaos team.
The team looks like this
Thrower - Block, Sure hands, Accurate
Wardancer - Side Step, Jump Up, Pass Block
Wardancer - Side Step, +1 AG, Pass Block
Catcher - Block, Side Step, Pass Block
Catcher - Block, Side Step, Dauntless
Catcher - Block, NoS, Leader, Pass Block
Line Elf - Block, Side Step
Line Elf - Block, Kick
Line Elf - Block, Side Step, Dirty Player
Line Elf - Block, +1 S (missed Final game due to SI in previous)
Line Elf - Block, Dodge (-1 AV)
3 RR
9 FF
40K Treasury but freebooted a line elf for the game.
(purchased after winning the Spike Trophey)
Line Elf
Treeman
1 RR
and gained 6 FF
After I gained the skills which would be probably game 13 were I had 2 pass blockers I started pulling in interceptions. The team has 6 interceptions at the current moment.
Getting interceptions depends on two things. If I roll a Blitz on the kick off table or my kick scatters deep in the backfield. Under these conditions having 4 pass blockers in your back field when positioned properly makes it an uphill battle. Side Step is the key skill for keeping them in position.
Question: I know that you can't use Jump up when Pass Blocking. However, someone asked if you can just stand up to Pass Block given doing so would fullfill the prerequisits for using the skills. I said you can't but can't figure out how to explain this. Can someone help out here? How do I explain it?
Could you bring up a list of the races you played with this team? Will be intresting to see what effect this had on the more bashy races. Never developed a WE team around int. Had one AG6 and one AG5 catcher, both with this skill. They limited the options when I played passing teams, but otherwise it wasn't used that much.

pp12 - While prone the player loses his tackle zone and may do nothing
except stand up at a cost of three squares of his movement when he next takes an action.
If someone could tell me how to copy paste my excel games sheet into a post I will do that. It tells the whole story. I even keep track of their TR and mine at the time of the game .
