General skills for stunties
I think stunties should have access to general skills and traits, but some skills need to be counted as traits for them. The main traits-for-stunties are:
Block, stripball, sure hands and tacklr.
They can still pass block if the skill racial trait short is used, otherwise that should probably go to.

i'm no longer amazed by the ammount of people here who don't read posts properly, and don't think about the ideas put forth enough, yet they bother to read the new concept forum
i was wanting to make a "basic access" skill list that everyone has access to
and moving skills to it like;
dirty player
frenzy (trait)
kick
leader (trait)
pass block
sure hands
this would involve stunties (not too sure about skinks) and big guys (the strength only access kind)

ok, maybe if you'd have read both mine and his post, you'd have known the answer: it's not ALL the skills that would be turned into traits (for stunties only) but rather the most useful ones, like block/sure hands/tackle/strip ball.slackman wrote:so what's the point if you give them general skill access but make all the skills into traits? i dont get it.
i personnaly disagree with that suggestion, but at least try to read it carefully before criticizing it :-/

Duff...
as i'm the proud coach of the biggest, most powerful stunty coach in YOUR league...
I think i'm in a good position to say there is a reason we droped that house rule when we went LRBish.
It makes stunties too good... they've got to be unreilable... and those short arms arn't as good at most things as other players...
but i don't like the idea of the general traits being out of stunties reach, which is why i fully support our houserule that stunties can get a general trait if the double they roll is 3's or better.

So we know you don't play Lizardmen. You must be a Goblin coach.
So what makes Skinks different from Goblins or Halflings?
The Saurus? The Kroxigor?
This is one area where I don't see a need for a change.
i do coach lizards, it's just that they are more complex than goblins or flings when it comes to this rule
@Galak: i wasn't refering to you as i know you are one of the more intelligent people here, just a general comment atleast 50% of post are about "i remember this from 2nd ed" "i play this group in another game and i want to play them here too" "i saw this in a movie" or "i suck at handling this situation in game, i want it changed"
i personally just want to see the game be more interesting, versitile, and all around fun... oh yeah and a decent background and setting would be good too...

my big mistake, i should have mentionned i was talking about slackman's post, who asked what the point was of giving general access but turning all skills into traits.GalakStarscraper wrote:Just to point ... I DID fully read the post. I just don't agree that ANY of the General skills should be available to Stunty teams as normal skills.
Just was in a hurry so I didn't type all that out.

i'm sorry for not having been clearer :-/
