Cazaly: New Agility Skill
N.B. I think pritty much every Aussie (with the possible exception of the northerners) will recognise this skill, as it's one that Aussie-Rules footballers typically use to catch the ball 10+ feet up in the air.... named after a hero of the sport and from a famous song 'Up there Cazaly'
Cazaly:
On an interception, the player using this skill may treat one opposing TZ as a +1 instead of a -1. This is because the player has run up the opposing player's body for a better snatch at the ball. This skill must be chosen before the dice roll, because on a natural roll of 1 the player misjudges his accent and comes crashing down. Armour roll time. The catch skill cannot be used to reroll a 1, as this indicates a fumbled Cazaly, and not a failed Catch.
your thoughts?

Is there any reason that the player couldn't use friendly tackle zones to hoist himself up.
I assume that this skill is based on that move in Aussie-Rules where a player leaps up to put their lower leg on an opponent's shoulder while reaching up for the catch. That move is crazy, I've seen players get wiped out when the guy misses their shoulder and crashes the knee right into the face.

It has got my vote... I like it!
As for the double meaning, I don't think there is much there... if you think this is funny you must love it when Beavis and Butthead say "Huh huh huh... he said... 'balls'... huh huh huh"

I had concidered that... but wasn't sure if it makes it too powerful... to easy to find friendly TZ's...MadLordAnarchy wrote:Is there any reason that the player couldn't use friendly tackle zones to hoist himself up.
*shrugs*
Feel free to use 'the player using this skill may treat one TZ from either team as a +1 (instead of a -1 if it was opposing).'
instead if you so desire...
It just made it slightly more complicated in the search for realism... and hey, as they always tell us... realism has nothing to do with BB

You made the call to err on the side of less powerful going into any testing. Always a good sign.Alesdair wrote:It just made it slightly more complicated in the search for realism... and hey, as they always tell us... realism has nothing to do with BB

I thought sean was talking about this bit. It can be disastrous when your get your accent wrong, especially if you're talking to a scotsman.Alesdair wrote: on a natural roll of 1 the player misjudges his accent
Then again, perhaps I'm just missing something (again).
