Orc Color Scheme

Post by falconeyed »

Hello. I'm in the process of painting my first team, and I could use some suggestions for paint schemes. I'd like to go primarily blues and grays (I have, to date, painted the shoulder pads Ice Blue). I'm thinking about painting the chain mail boltgun metal, the cloth portions Codex Gray or Regal Blue, the boots kommando khaki and chaos black, and burnished gold as the helmet trim. The idea is to make the Ice Blue on the Shoulder Pads and Helmets stand out.

Just curious to know if anyone has any suggestions about colors. Thanks in advance for the help!

Sounds pretty cool...if you darken the metals it may help the blue really pop...maybe some black trim in places? I like the idea...I'd just find away not to let the green skin and blue armor 'wash' together visually with the grays...I like it...not the same ol black and red hehe (see avatar)

any colour looks ok if you paint if well - even pink.
I think if really novice painter stay away from grey as its a hard colour to make look good.

easy to paint - blue, green, yellow (just use a couple of coats), black and silver. Any combination of these should be fine. Black, silver splash of blue would look wicked
