Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
A forum for football mini's talk.......painting, converting etc. etc. or showing off great accessories that make playing the game easier, cooler or more fun.

Rock and roll. Although I think you had a lot of people thinking it would be an actual helmet . I'm very partial to human teams so I think a helmeted head without the facemask would be awesome (with just a plain helmet so customization would be easy), but then you got yourself a non-universal piece there. Of course I guess I could just sculpt some helmets onto my figures...
Don't mind me.

Three touchdowns in one game. I almost got the Al Bundy Trophy.

One nice conversion part, regarding the helmets, would be the face-mask part in american football style. I'm talking about those iron bars that go in front of the face. A separate piece that you could glue on a warhammer miniatures helmet to make it look like a football helmet would be great. Full helmets do not sound as good as parts that you could comfortably use to transform the existing head of the miniature into a football mask.

For the first time, I actually want to try and convert something ! I'll buy the sprues for sure ! Actually, I think that $2.50 is pretty cheap, I was surprised of the price range in the poll.
Weapon Sprue:
Stiletto
Spikey Mace
A Whip made out of links of chain
Grenade
Big Gun
Chainsaw
I'd rather see three chainsaws and three bombs than all the other stuff. I imagine most modellers can rustle up a dagger or a mace from somewhere. If you have to vary the items, how about something in the same spirit as the bloodbowl weapons, like rocket boots or even a lacrosse style net.

Not to take away from the cool sprues, but building the cages is easy- that is why I love plastic minis. I just set the sprue that figs come on on fire and let them melt downwards into thin threads.
Back around '94 I built a replica of Felix Potvin's goalie 'cage mask' that way. Turned out perfectly.
Yeah, if I could convert half a team (or even a whole one) out of one sprue, then $10 wouldn't be too harsh. I'd love to see some heads for all races though, not only humans.
since i cant sculpt a convincing ball and hand i am ordering amazon throwers to cut of the hand+ball
and thats is one expensive order...btw amazon thrower is the only lefty , if im not mistaken.....;so left and rigth thrower hand would be nice (left handed myself)

I think sprues are a good idea and would sell well but dont expect a sudden flood of sales as soon as they are released as its the sort of thing that sticks in peoples heads and then they see a model that would make a good conversions and then try to track down 'that cool sprue with the helmets and stuff'. As for costs probly no more than £2 otherwise converting a full team would get too costly. A secret weapon sprue could charge a little more becuase u'd only ever really need one of them.
I'd be very interested.
I think your pice range is too low as well. I'd pay up to about $10 NZ for a sprue if I could convert a whole team out of 3 or 4 sprues.
I hope this works out for you and you can move on from your three trial sprues to some of the mutation and weapon ideas already posted.
This is something that we have really been missing as Blood Bowl modelers. Keep up the good work.
Pitty the thread had to bog down into a copyright discussion.

Some people like cupcakes exclusively well. Myself I say there is not, nor aught there be, nothing so exalted on God's grey earth as that prince of foods: the muffin.
I'd be willing to spend up to $10 (just like with GW sprues) for a good set of BB (football related) Sprues. And weapons and mutations too!!!!!
I actually mentioned this several years ago and got a response from Andy and he mentioned that this was a possibility- which meant nothing obviously.
If you do make a sprue, PLEASE, PLEASE make a left and right hand holding a ball. You'd be surprised at the number of fig's that would make great conversions, but you need a left handed thrower (I've bought a bunch of Amazon throwers for just that reason).
