I play a Wood Elf team and are getting more pleased with it every time. I used to play Dark Elf and love the fast moving game, so now I got my hands on a set of WE minis and started a league with 5. We decided to play different teams so we have 1 dwarf, 1 skaven, 1 orc, 1 Dark elf and myself.

We only noticed the new rules after 2 matches so we recently started using them, but with some additions: the special play cards are still in the game and the skills given before the new rules do apply.

Unfortunately lost the first 1 (2-3 against Dwarfs!!) but suffered 1 dead and 4 SI (including 1 niggling and 1 -1 AG). The second match was a formality beacuse of that (1-4 against orcs), but yesterday I beat a Skaven team 3-2.

I started with 9 Lineman, 1 WD and a thrower (I love throwing games). He has Accurate and Strong arm, while I equipped my WD with Strip ball. 2 Linemen died and I bought a catcher. One lineman gained 1AG and is now on AG5. I'll probably give him block to make him a WE Blitzer.

Any tips on how to play? Any special tactics? Or anyone I can help?

Hmmm, I wouldn't have bought that thrower. It is expensive and takes way spp from your line elves, witch are fine throwers anyway. the rest looks fine allthough your probably missing out on FF or TRR ( am I right).
Give some players leap (especially that AG5 would be good) so you can sent some players over the enemie lines and have plenty of scoring options.

wood elves are a great team in a league it depends on the other teams u have in the league

True. You have to watch out that your team is not destroyed by an orc team (or any other bashy team) in the first few matches.

Missing on SPP? Not really no, although the thrower is quite evolved yes. Love it that way...

On FF and TR no real complaints yet. Just bought me the over necessary apothecary though, my next goal will be Wardancer #2.

What you really have to do is get your WD's to score some TD's to secure a lead and then get your linemen to score so they too can get rolls. You do that and have some linemen with block, oh yea!!! Don't even worry about catchers until you have lots of gold and are ready to make 1/2 turn scorers. (pray for 10's)

I only lost one game (to the greenskins) because of some serious rolling. In two turns I lost 3 elves which messed me up really bad. The game went down hill from there. By the end of the game, I had three elves on the field and he had 10 orcs. Kinda hard to win. Although I only lost by one TD.

Sounds also like terrible coaching form the opposition...
