Team colour beards, any tips?

Post by Duke Jan »

I want to have my dwarf team's colours skull white/blood red and chaos black. The problem I run in to is that the dwarfs, of course, consist mainly of beard. So I thought I'd give them died beards, but now I run into another problem. How to make this a bit realistic? I don't mean just red and white hair, they have to look like they've been in an accident involving a two spraying cans, one red and one white while holding a window pane in front of them, so there is a sharp border between both colours.

How about getting some green stuff and making some coloured bows in their beards??

I'm no expert on this, but what I once did was painting the hair normal, and next higlight a few strands in the team colour.

Why not keep the beards white, and make them a 'veteran' team? :D

Personally I would go with what Mepmuff suggested. I personally like more realistic hair colouring with team colours going on either cloth or armour. Just my personal taste. My friend's dwarf team is red, black and white and he painted the team colours on their armour and it looks great. Don't forget to paint stripes down the sides of their pants for that added touch. Looks sharp.

My dwarfs used "Natural" beard colours, but for my tournament team I used the team colours on the Beards and hair on the Slayers. Ended up looking pretty smart (I think it did anyway).

My dwarfs have just natural colored hair, but the team color concept has me peaked! 8)
