What colors for Lizardmen?

I'm in the process of converting the plastic saurus and skinks for a team.

I don't like the idea of painting them green or blue either, far too many lizard teams around that look like that.

Instead I'm leaning towards Yellow skin, and black scales. I'd like to hear what people think about this as a colour scheme.

I think it would be a great colour sheme for a skink. For the Saurus and especially for the Krox I would go for a dark red colour sheme.

This should be looking really cool.

ill make mine a black lizard team and highlight up the scales with greys... skulls will remain skull coloured and the black/white contrast should look sweet!

I hadn't thought of doing a search for real reptile and amphibian colors. It was so obvious it eluded me. Anyway, I am going to have my lizardman team painted by Lawquoter but am having trouble coming up with a color scheme. I've read where most people suggest using all one theme for the team due to fluff. However, I was thinking of doing a scheme where the skinks had blue or purple skin and yellow highlights, the saurus had red or orange skin with black scales, and the krox had black skin with red hightlights. I found some pics of real chameleons and dart frogs in these colors and they looked cool.
