Great minis from LOTR (pictures)

Post by gollummen »

Sorry if you already know, but I just went through the GW LOTR minis and found a few that would be great for Blood bowl:

Orc/goblin cheerleaders:

Treeman (remove halflings):

Troll (does anybody know the size of this guy?)

The trolls are pretty much big guy size. Maybe a tad bigger.

Wow! On the US store you can order a whole halfling team!

The treeman would be pretty cool too if he can fit the pitch :)

Both the Troll and the Trent are taller than an average BB big guy, but still they make nice conversions of their BB counterpads ..

I agree, they would make some great figures. I have the special edition Bilbo Baggins figure, wich would make a great head coach for a 'fling team, no conversion needed. :)

One thing, though. I remember reading somewhere that LotR figures don't count as official GW mini's for tourney purposes, right? Or is that just for Warhammer?

Sure they count. At least this guy ( who I believe is from Antonio Roig's No Elf Flower Power) was at the BB. (Incidently, I love the hippy theme and the conversions are great and full of character, yet strangely another team that didn't get max painting points at the BB...WTF? Anyway...I digress):
