Help with blonde

Post by LittleFatPetey »

Hi there

Can anyone help with with painting blonde hair. Everytime I paint it, it turns up ever too yellow or too brown.

Depends on how blonde you want it I suppose. A little bit of Snakebite leather followed by a drybrush of leather and yellow should do the trick if you want a dirthy blonde.

paint the hair white and then apply a thin chestnut wash over the top... looks natural honey blonde...

then drybrush with Bleached Bone if you want to lighten it up...

if you want the Essex girl look then apply black wash at the partings in the hair to make it look dyed..

Cheers thats what I was after the real Essex Girl look. Hopefully now I can get my bunny girls that fake tan and dyed hair look, with their white silettos and hand bags. Next question is how to model hand bags and paint fake tan.

No not really.

Cheers there

Pete  :o :D

Bubonic Brown is your best friend for blonde hair ...

here's what i did for the blonde guys no my norse team: http://bloodbowl.bei.t-online.de/galler ... andale.jpg

white undercoat
basecoat with bubonic brown
wash with chestnut ink
highlight with a mix from bubonic brown, bleached bone and a little sunburst yellow, with more and more bleached bone replacing bubonic brown on the later highlight stages.

I use a white base coat, then sunburst yellow. Follow that with some Flesh Wash...then build it back up with the sunburst yellow...give you a kind of dirty blonde look...kind of like the hair was highlighted. (its my secret to sharp looking Imperial Eagle crests on my Ultramarines)
