AG2 Wolf

Post by Leipziger »

I've got a werewolf that has just been reduced to AG2 (shouldn't have made that extra GFI roll  ) and he is on the cusp of getting his next skill. Any ideas what to give him? He has catch, frenzy, claw and block already. I was toying with possibly trying to convert him to a blitzer or giving him sure hands because even with AG2 he should be able to pick up the ball given enough chances...

Cheers

Either that or some injury skill on doubles.

I second Tackle.

Alternatives are Pass Block (he needs a six to intercept anyway and still has a re-roll) or Shadow. Both work well in conjunction, too.

He only has one skill as far as I can tell - so I'd vote for retirement. make a coach of him.

It's a 12+ Team Rating player, so he'd better be efficient.

If you keep him, turn him into a killer (and save money for the time he'll meet stronger than him, to buy another wolf).
Look big then : if you roll a double, get Dauntless, and if another, get Multiple Block !
What about a werewolf than can tear apart big guys, mummies, and later pairs of dwarves (with claw, dwarves are like wood elves ;) ).

Make him a pain, so that your opponents will have to flee him or kill him (and if possible, using a lot of players and energy to do that).

He can even still be scorer, but more on the running side (a handoff behind your line is safer than a catch on the other side).

The other option is to retire him and start a brand new wolf. But it's a risk, since the wolf is very expensive and easy to break until he got block.

replace him to keep the tr low.

Otherwise tackle or mighty blow on double

You play necros, so I suspect that you do not have any problems with a short roster ... but if you do, don't retire him until you have a replacement wolf on the roster. You can still use a deficient wolf while you are earning the money to buy his replacement, and thus have a better chance of not being outnumbered, and better chance of winning your games in the meantime. Granted, you may have to retire him soon, but don't make the mistake to do it too soon.

Problem solved! The crafty feller scored a TD tonight and I rolled double 6. Although a number of skills appeared attractive, I took the +1 strength. He is now 8-4-2-8 catch, frenzy, claw, block. He is, however, very expensive.

Cheers
