DE-Witch-Why not?
Well If read a lot of things in the last days and also played also 2 games yesterday and one again (like in 20 games befor) my DE-Witch was the Star of both games. In the other Topic (starting a DE-Team) everybody is speaking about Blitzers in a starting Team, ok I also have one in my Team, but the Witch with Frenzy, Jump up and Dodge has 3 Skills from the beginning, after getting the next Skill (Block I would take) she is nearly Perfekt for Running and Attacking the enemy. Ok her armor of 7 is not the best but she is getting SPP very quick and nothing is better then pushing enemy players out of the field with her. So why is everybody just speaking about Blitzers??? I have just made good experience with her jet, some arguments?

I'm a blitzers before witches coach.
The Witches can only get away with pushing players of the pitch as long as the opposing coach will allow it. They are big targets with all the skills and that inviting AR7 I find most opponets gang up on them and take them out faster then a Wardancer in the bloodbowl. Keeping them safe becomes a little harder as it seems frenzy henders this as much as it helps you. As far as them sucking up SPPs. I really think it depends on who is coaching the team. DEs can be played in so many diffrent ways. On my teams the blitzers naturally get all the SPPs and I have to make an effort to spread them around. Where as another DE coach in our league as two throwers who seem to collect the majority of the teams SPPs. I really beleive that this is one of those teams that can be very succesful with much different strategies so I would just go with what works for you.

I get blitzers before witch elves because I have a clear sense of what the skill progression for WEs is: first skill is Block, followed by Side Step & Tackle, etc. My WEs become my blitzer-types.
My blitzers, on the other hand, develop in various different ways and I want to start racking up the spps on them quickly and develop them early. Hence I get blitzers first. In addition, it's much easier to protect AV7 players when you have lots of AV8 players around.

I always try and make sure that I have at least one more Blitzer the witch elf, which means they never start on my starting roster.
The reason that I don't start them is that Frenzy and no block just makes them too unreliable and I ussually only have 2 rr's on a starting roster. I would prefer those be used for critical must-take blocks with linelves (although I try to avoid even those.)
The reason for outnumbering my Witches with Blitzers at all times, is simply, protection. As was mentioned, witches are second only to wardancers on the most targeted for death list, and thier low armor doesn't help. Ussually by the time I am ready to purchase my first witch, not only do I have Blitzers to screen my rookie Witch, but I also have a few linelves with block as well.
Lastly having a 110k AV7 player die early on such an expensive team is a very tough hole to climb out of. Where starting with blitzers at least gives you some redundancy, not to mention a critical extra point of AV.

i love dark elves more than anything else figs wise; but have never had much joy on the pitch with DE.
i do get the feeling there are two style of DE neither i am very good at
option a) 4 blitzers all blodge- block heavy based game similar to human tactics on defense. offense 3 turn cage and dodge to glory when made it about 5 or 6 squares into other half.
option b) aggresive witchs used similar to wardancers or elf catchers with dauntless. blitzers usefull but more midfield battlers with block. lineman very poor compared. offense scream 2 recievers down wing, thorw 2nd turn with plenty of dodges or leap.
