TR ?
Hi, I Have 55,000 gp in my thearusy, and I want to know if my theasury count as 5 or 6 in my team rating... on page 41 of the BB handbook they say: For every 10,000 gp that the team is worth, it receives 1 team rating point. but on excel sheet from the official BB site it count for 6, so what the real value... ?

I disagree. While this can be done mathematically, I would interpret both calculations a a "round fractions down"-operation. That is, for every five SPP you get 1 point of TR, any overshooting SPPs (1-4) are rounded down, and not added as 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 or 0.8. The same would be applicable to treasury.
I remember that I have played with the ruling that you simply do not round any fractions due to treasury - rather, you receive a .5 TR. We didn't do this for SPPs though - perhaps the wording was clearer on this one.
I think this "problem" arises from having too much automatic spreadsheets making your calculations for you. I think the rules states that you round down before adding the number to the TR. However, this may or may not be done correctly by excel.

Rounding is done to the end calculation only, it is never done mid process. The tr has 3 components; treasury, value of players and coachs, and spp's. Rounding is done only to the final combination, not to the components.

'thearusy'?? that's hilarious. Considering you wrote it twice you don't have the excuse of it being a typo either.Popol wrote:Hi, I Have 55,000 gp in my thearusy, and I want to know if my theasury count as 5 or 6 in my team rating... on page 41 of the BB handbook they say: For every 10,000 gp that the team is worth, it receives 1 team rating point. but on excel sheet from the official BB site it count for 6, so what the real value... ?

The only way you could get a fraction at all is if your treasury is not
a multiple of 10,000.
When this occurs in our league (hiring stars is the main cause but there are others) we have house ruled it that the player rolls a D6 --- 1-3 he goes down to the nearest multiple of 10k , 4-6 he goes up.
We did this to avoid the situation described above.

Re: TR ?
that gotta be the lamest comment i've ever read on these boards, and i've read some really lame content... seeing how you have only 12 posts, one of them being that stupid comment, i can only give you an advice: learn foreign languages, and when you can speak two or three..., then you will hopefully be mature enough not to post such bs again...alexelf wrote:'thearusy'?? that's hilarious. Firstly one of the official languages in Canada is English, secondly the word is in the LRB, thirdly English may not be my first language either, fourthly it's not even remotely correct to Treasury or Tresor, he's proved his English is good, I wouldn't have found it funny if his English was bad, I also think it would be patronising if I treated him any differently to people I know around here who have similar coprehension of the English language when they're actually English, he could look the word up in the dictionary, he could use a different word; he even put TR in the title, or you could speak in French, and see how far that gets you.

From the LRB:
It's clear with the SPPs, firs round and then add... so, in the same way, i interpret we must to the same with the gold pieces. To calculate a team’s Spike! Magazine team rating, first
work out the total value of the team in gold pieces.
Remember to include any money in the treasury in the
total. For every 10,000 gold pieces that the team is
worth, it receives 1 Team Rating point. This may sound
like a difficult sum to work out, but it is actually quite
easy. Just take the total value of the team and knock off
the last four zeros. For example, a starting team with a
value of 1,000,000 gold pieces has a team rating of
100 points.
Next work out the combined total of all the Star Player
points belonging to the players in your team. Divide this
number by 5, rounding any fractions down, and add the
result to the total worked out above.
