Just out of interest what is considered a long league and a short league?
It's just that I've read posts about looking at how teams perform in long leagues (such as the khemri post in the T & D section) and how people pick their starting line up depending on the league length.
1) What is considered to be a long league and a short league? Is it number of players or number of potential games. A league starting soon I'm playing will hopefully have ten players would it be short or long? Each player can play each other twice.
2) How would a long or short league affect your starting line up generally.
3) Is fan factor less important in short leagues than it is in longer leagues. Oh and is this true for tournaments as well?
Cheers

1) i would consider a league with 20 games as a long league
2) not quite sure if a short or long league would affect my starting team Cockerel, i think in a short league i would start with more positional players and with less linemen, for the early games are more important and i don't have so much time to develop
3) fan factor is in short leagues and exspecially in tournaments not as important as in the long run, team rerolls are much more usefull here
this is only my solemn opinion, don't give too much to it for i don't play bb that long.

Thanks for the replies guys,
It may well make me re-consider my starting options as the league I am playing in will most likely only include ten players and so I'm only going to play 20 games max and last time I only played seven which is why it took me so long to get a second Werewolf.
I'm probably only going to be playing ten games or so with each team that I want to enter, alhtough i will aim to play more games than this with each team (pro elves and necromancer).
So I may well lower my fan factor a bit on eahc team and either get another re-roll or another position player.
Thanks for the comments again, others are still welcome.
Cheers

Phipstar,
This will be the first time that I'll be playing two teams meaning that my two teams will never meet in competition, however thereare probably other teams that will never play against each other either.
With regard to the finals I'll only be able to take one team and it'll be the best team up to that point in time.
The reason I decided to use two teams is to force more games between players if there aren't many that do eventually sign up. I'm expecting 10 players to sign up but there may be fewer. Also means that I get to play more games as I can play the same player four times, rather than just twice. So if someone doesn't turn up to play their game we can re-arrange matches easier. I get to play more as well whcih is good as I need the practice, oh and I'm really looking forward to playing again!
