why do I even bother... :o

that Khorne fig is probably the finest painting I have ever seen.. the conversion work maybe not the best (the pose is a bit funny) but the quality of the brush work is totally unbelievable...

I'm so not worthy...

The base is actually about as heavy as the model is. The wings are plastic and don't add too much weight to the project. The base is made from the dwarf Rune Smith base and some elf archane archetecture. The centre is filled with putty, and the top portion of the base is anchored firmly into the bottom. The figure itself is firmly attached to the base. I used a drill bit to connect the two pieces ( I actually left the bit in the fig). So the answer is that the model is balanced quite nicely.

Thanks for the compliments!

Khorne fig - simply incredible. Words cannot describe how freaking cool it is.

Chairface - can't really tell from the pic...I guess its a CSM primarch? or is it just a champion? Its damned good, but the photo doesn't give the detail. Just wondering.

Khorne figure - Nothing a day in brake fluid wouldn't fix! Never had any problem with badly painted figs before

So its true, they award Golden deamons to any old thing these days!

Thadrin - Its just a Demon prince for my 40k army. This is the 3rd version of this particular deamon prince, Morningstar, that I've done in the last 10 years. Before that he started out as a character in an old rifts campaign and has gone on to rule his own demon world.

As for the Khorne champion - I liked him, ( and yes, he was WAY better than mine) and I thought that he would win a prize, but I didn't think that he would win best in category, much less the Slayer Sword. Don't get me wrong, its a great figure, but I thought that there were better.

OMG :o :o :o

That sure is one finely painted miniature (the 1st link). That NMM must have taken ages to paint.

The rest are top notch as well.
