Seeking alt Necromantic minis
I'm thinking about starting up a Necromantic team, and just had this cool idea of using non GW minis... I was planning on getting the GW Necromantic team plus Frank N Stein (to use as the second Flesh Golem) and Whilhelm Chaney (to use as the second Werewolf). But I think I'll see what other miniature companies have on offer! So anyways, I'm up for ideas, throw them at me!!!

Click the WWW icon below my post and look for Some Kinda Voodoo on the list to the left. You can see how they turned out.

Fondu's figs are great! If you want to stay away from GW figs altogether check out:

Lots of great figs for conversions! Check out the NBA team sticky. I think page 18 has the team pic. Quite a few of the figs used were from vampire wars.

I use that Reaper werewolf shown as well as their Zombie Werewolf for my two. I put a shoulder pad on the one above an it is sweet. And the minis on the Gothic Wars link above make up some of my other players. Their Flesh Golems rock and I am using the sack headed scarecrows for ghouls (Idont like the ghouls for some reason, at all). For my zombies I converted and modded other figs to have a zombie from most of hte races in the game. Wish I had a camera.
So long story shot, Reaper and Gothic Wars are EXCELLENT!!!

I bet the main reason the police keep people away from a plane crash is they don't want anybody walking in and lying down in the crash stuff, then, when somebody comes up, act like they just woke up and go, "What was THAT?!"

Funny you should mention it. I spent almost an hour combing through an out-of-town gaming shop's wall full of Reaper minis trying to find that Jean Paul Dechamps figure yesterday! Didn't have it, but I did get the Jason Wiebe's Sabertooth Man for my gladiatorial arena and the three pack of Warlord mummies for my girlfriends Undead team. Gonna have to break down and order the thing.
There's something about that classic Frank N. Stein mini, though. None of the others quite have as much charm, if you ask me.
There's also the werewolf from the Deadlands minis, I think they're available from Pinnacle or from Jeff Valent Studios.

Yup those are the figures that I used for Necro team until GW came out with the official Necro figs. Now I use them on my Halloweenies team ... very nice figs and the Frankenstein Monster and the Werewolves are a nice scale for the pitch as well.Chairface wrote:Fondu's figs are great! I also like Fondu's stuff, but I personally skipped on the more expensive Frankenstein Monster from West Wind (sold by Old Glory in the U.S.) and got the FAiled experiment/Moster by Blows? GREAT Deal with 4 Flesh golems (sculpted in a similar style to GW Ogres but about Black Orc size) and are PERFECT for Blood Bowl. I kept 3 (2 for Golems, 1 for Frank n Stein if he ever comes back) and will be trading the 4th. HIGHLY recommended and Old Glory/Westwind can be found for a discount at various wedsites. NO New Wave though!!
