Travellers second League starts next week ...

How about another Goblin or two?

Still two slots of my roster are free... another thrower and a gobbo are planed.

I just took the 4th BO now because of the next game against this norse team. And i now, there is another Norse team in my division which got 4 or 5 players now with mighty blow....

Well, next week i have to play the next game.

well, game# 7 against a norse team is over.... 3: 1 LOSS !

It starts with a handicap roll for the Norse: +1 RR
Kickoff event: Cheerling fans... another +1 RR now the norse got 4 RR.

Turn 3: 1:0 for the norse. I already spent all of my 3 RR, mostly for getting better blockresults of my BOs !!! Darn! 6 Ork players with ST4 or more and than those §$%$§$% Norse with the §$%$§$% Block skill at all players !!!

Next kickoff event : Long time not see... ROCKTHROW ! Just one BO stunned !
Turn 4: ok, my mistake... i used the troll to block...

...and lost the ball this way !
Turn 7: 2:0 for the Norse... every dices worked well for the Norse ! Last time i was lucky , but not this time. If i brought a Norse down, he just jumped up the next turn !!

Second half:
Turn 3: Hehoooo .... a fast change of the fieldside and an nice combination 2:1
Turn 4 and 5: After the kickoff the norse thrower didnt pick up the ball... for 2 turns... just 5 square before the TD zone... my orks tried with blitzers and BO to pick up the ball or to dodge ou of a single tacklezone!!! I spent all reoll already for blockrerolls ! NO REROLL, NO WAY! Even my dodge blitzer didnt made it !
Turn 7: ... his thrower finaly managed to pick up the ball, dodged away, passed, ... handovered, ... dodged... GFIs: 3:1 ARGH!
Turn 8: ... Fieldinvasion !

This time two stunned norse

End of the game i got just 1 cas for my troll, which the most of the game did... nothing!
70.000 win... now after full 4 BOs and 4 Blitzer i´m thinking to buy my second thrower. The last slot will be for the second Gobbo.
Two skills to give:
The thrower got his second skill and, after Accurate, i´m thinking to give him Block now!
I got 1 blitzer with Guard and Dodge and 2 blitzers with tackle now.
Hm, I´m thinking of "strip Ball" or "stand firm" for one of the tacklers !
And any of the two BOs, now with 4 and 5 SSPs, will get BLOCK first opportunity !

hm, just saw, that Stand Firm is a Trait ! OK, strip Ball for the Blitzer and Block for the Thrower. Tonight is the next game against A human Team !

I just gave a look to your team.

How do you managed to get from your last match 20 gp only?

Probably that's the reason why your team has a TR of 172.01

Anyway, nice team.
I wish I have some Tackle too, looking at all those agile teams in my division...

Yesterday night i played my 11th game of this league. I was quite afraid, as my team had to play against the strong Norse team, leading our division. I think, the Bloodweiser Blitzers won now 8 games, 1 tie and 1 loss... hehehe, this was the game i won !

But after now loosing 4 games in row ...

63000 fans turned up ... The norseteam got a FF of 12 against my FF 7. But still enought, to get a +1 for the money.

Turn 1 ... the Orks kicked... right in teh arms of a Norse catcher!
Turn 2 hehooo, finaly a BO made a Cas ! I got 3 BO with no skill and 5 SSPs. Now just guess, which one got the cas ? Yes, right, the one with no need of SSPs for the moment!

Well, the norse apo healed this player, but another Line Norse was KOed same turn.

Turn 3 My normal fantastic passing Thrower couldnt pick up the ball . 2 and 2 ! Argh... and soooooo:
Turn 4... 1:0 for the Norse ! This catcher made all the pickup and dodge rolls to get the ball just in front of my whole team !

Turn 5 Kickoff ... Blitz for the Norse.. just what i need !

I need the chance to hit them, but they hit me...
Turn 6 ... but in this case one of my Blitzer sneaked through... 1:1

Turn 7 Did i tell before, i don´t like frency player ?

So, one of the norse Blitzers missed this game from this turn on.

Turn 8 still this norse catcher run past my defence.... 2:1

The second half started with a riot for 2 Turns.
Turn 4 Did i tell you before ... well, another Norse Blitzer "decided" to miss this game !

But his mino blitzed my ball carrying Blitzer just 6 squares from the endzone

Luckly my Apo healed the badly hurt player ! But even worse, the ball, scattering around, was cought by the mino !! He need a 6 and got one !

Turn 6 Quite a bit work, but the combinated might of a few orcs brought the mino down...
Turn 7... big fight around the ball. My troll was in a good position to bind a lot of norse players.
Turn 8 The big final highlight ! After blocking and blitzing the way free, my blitzer run into the tacklezone of the mino, grapped the ball, dodge out, run 2 GFIs and made my day ! 2:2 !

A great fun game with crasy situations. After the MVP points i have to give skills to 2 Blitzers.

Blitzer #1 : Block,Dodge, Guard... hm , which skill now ?

Blitzer #2 : Block,ST+1,... hm , mighty blow next to make him a " killer " ??

trav .. well done but you might want to take a good look at your time management ..

had you scored a little later in the first half you would have had more chances for the win (unless you were forced to score obviously)

MB for the ST4 guy, tackle / MB on the other I guess ..

Dave is completly right here. If you had scored in turn 7, he would have had only 1 turn the counter score. Not possible with standart norse.

I totaly agrre with the ahead. But you might consider giving #2 break tackle to dodge like an "elf".

I knew, what you mean. But after not scoring at turn 6 there was a big chance, that my ballcarrier would loose the ball at turn 7 ! And, after this, no tie would be possible for my team in the first half and the second half would had been even more difficult.

I think, I will give the +1 ST Blitzer "Mighty blow". He already served me well as Hunter/Killer

sounds good to me, too. Hm, interesting thought to dodge like a elf .. at last for a orc ?

For the dodge/guard Blitzer i would love to give him " Stand firm". Great skill to move around the sidelines , but´s a trait. Well, i got two Blitzers with tackle already. But i think also, i can use all possible tacklers i can get...

What about passblock or shadowing then.

Passblock not to really interccept the ball, but for the free movement. And making it more difficult to pass or receive.

pass block can be a great skill but you need at least two of them to put fear into your opponents eyes.

Shadowing with movement 6 i don´t know. But when you´re lucky in rolling your dice.

The longer I think over pass block on player with dodge and guard is very surprising

and could be very funny

Don't get pass block. An orc team in our league has 1 blitzer with Pass Block. in 30+ games he's used it ONCE. He tells me it's the biggest skill choice regret.

Take Piling On over Pass Block...at least then you'll get a chance to rr an armor break when it's opportune. ie..av7

I would also go for break tackle, with strength 4...
ALso I usually save my APO for worse then Badly Hurts results, or did you need the blitzer to get down the Mino?
