Those marauder plastics aren't even the best norse shown. I hate the other team's colour scheme, but they seem better painted.

The Silver wining Halflings are pretty good (though its hard to judge from those pics). Otherwise not impressed either - and while I may not be a better than average painter, I know enough...whatever Del may think.

I assure you, the flings are awesome! I've seen them real life at the 2004 Dungeon Bowl and i was very impressed. They have a very decent, but technically brilliant square scheme in different greens that shows up almost everywhere on the figs. You can catch a glimpse in the picture on the shoulderpads in the front row and on the parachute (in brown there).

However, you might have to mention that some of the modelling ideas, esp. the parachute have been done before by Zodiac.

golden demon - convert 'new' fig. paint fig. make amazing OTT base - collect prize

Better standard by the looks of it at the national BB this year, but that is a lot more fun as you dont need to make a $$$$$$$ display base and scene to get a team noticed. (trust me i didn't) To be honest is better to judge painting on the painting standard, big point lost on most people who have entered golden demon.

The Bronze team would have got my vote over the other two, and that pitch rocks my socks off.

yeah, what Extreme says... :o

I've seen the Halflings before in real life at a tourney (no idea which one though) and they really do rock too....

shame about the gold medal winning Norse... maybe the pics don't do them justice, but they look so..... ordinary!

The winning Norse Team could be found here:

http://www.mordor.ch/swichert/miniatures/index.html

Go for fantasy-miniatures -> GW

Having seen all three team at the Dungeonbowl and/or the "Miniaturenansichten Witten" I would prefer the Hobbiton Celtics. The smooth blending on the pattern is fantastic.
