I just got a really great miniature to paint a wet t-shirt on, but my painting skills are not that far developed (yet) to know how I should paint it properly, so it looks decent and realistic.

Does anyone here know a few tricks and hints on how to paint the wet-look on a t-shirt?

Hmm lemme guess ... Phigs Valkyries?

I tried it on them when they came out, but at that point my painting skills were not sufficent to make it look real. I might give it another try ...

In theory, i'd say white shirt, grey "wet spot", greyish pink/skin where the breasts shine through, greyish brown for the nipples ... then probably seal the wet part with gloss varnish and the rest matte.

But i'm interested in other ideas, too...

Sorry for that one - I couldn´t resist.
I would try the same as Tim. I think the pink/skintone shining through is the most important to make it look realistic.

a skillful thin white wash after the highlighting mentioned by tim will work wonders, giving it the depth and implied transparenty you're after.

Thinking about it...
A) If you can't get Mel's afore mentioned Models... a girls gone wild video will work jsut as well.

B) paint teh ... "raised" areas with teh flesh tone you're using... and then do a wash or two of white at oh I'd guess skim-milk consistency. Maybe a little varnish?

by the looks of the 'pro' stuff i would not bother mate - sorry but not impressed with the effect. maybe varnish effects might help with different laquer but dont think very easy to pull off.

Would have thought any wet t shirt implies wet figure all over so the hair will be place to send time on. Possibly superglue over paint and then varnish but can only wish you luck.
