Again Amazons, this time thrower double advance

Post by tomazsus »

I have two throwers. One got Sure hands as her first advance.
The other got a double 6 as her first advance.
I think a thrower with strength 4 is not very useful (well, she could be useful in defense, but not in attack, since she starts back), so I thought to give her Strong arm.
Suggestions?
It is very hard for me refuse a +1strength, but it just happened on a thrower!!! :(
Thanks,

Tomaz

St 4 for sure because he will be harder to block.

Take the +STR

Post by Quetzalcoatl »

Believe it or not, there are three +STR throwers in our league (~12 teams) - one human, one norse, and one orc. Generally, you always want to take the +STR when it comes up.

not only she can be tremendously useful, but once you have given her sure hands and block, imagine what a safe ball carrier you have... blodge and immune to strip ball, and ST4 of course... don't even hesitate another single second...

ST 4 For Sure, there's not even a better option, just develop the 2nd Thrower with Accurate,Sure hands,Strong arm if possibe, and your laughing

ST 4 ! Definitely !
Amazons are awfully average: a characteristic increase is really a gift ! :D

And it's very useful on a Thrower anyway. As she is often behind her team-mates, she often has to throw the "last-chance" blitz against an opposing catcher.
Furthermore you can use them as a ball carrier: ST 4, Blodge, Sure Hands... it sounds perfect ! :D

OK, OK, +1ST it is then. No-one disagreed, so it must definitely be the correct choice!
Thanks, guys!

Yep take the +1 ST!!! :) I rolled double 6 for a Human [thrower] once, and briefly wondered whether it was worth having ST 4. Let me tell you ... it is great!!! As people have said, you have a ST 4 ball carrier for a start, with the ability to pass the ball too! Then of defence, you have a ST 4 player, which can't be a bad thing. :)
