Tim ... I think one of those show the effect best. A couple the whole shirt has just been soaked so it not good as the entire shirt is too wet for a proper effect yet ... a couple others the material is so thin, tied so tight, or so little cloth that being wet has made the material almost meaningless (or it was pretty much already there)

So for a second trying to use that link simply for art sake ... I think the best example I'd use as guide would be #3:

http://members.ams.chello.nl/rwestdor/w ... oto_3.html

Photo 3 is really the photo I think I would find the most helpful for seeing the color changes from skin tone to the white wet cloth. She's wearing enough of a shirt for you to see how it lays against her body. She also has the figure of the type that normally gets sculpted for females in the minis business ... ie C or more cup size ... so that also helps as template for the type of minis we try to paint.

Now if you are trying to paint very sheer silk type effects. I think 11 does a lot for that assist:
http://members.ams.chello.nl/rwestdor/w ... to_11.html

Because of the type of cloth, being tied up tight or whatever. 11 doesn't appear really so much wet as it does sheer. Makes for a good example for this I think.

And yes ... I do believe that you can use pictures like these as legit models without all the sniggering.

My girlfriend didn't buy it either. I don't know much about art, but I know what I like!

Thanks Galak for that very fine evaluation of the shirts...with my wife around I don't htink I would have been able to do the same :D

But for some strange reason it reminded me about watching Monthy Python's "Life of Brian" in church class at school with a realistic discussion about that time afterwards. :o

Posting from Geocities onto TBB

Post by Babs »

Actually, you can post directly into TBB. First you need to rename your .jpg or .gif files into .txt files. Then simply IMG tag the Http://www.geocities.com/whatever/whatever.txt location in a post using the location on geocities.

If this doesn't make sense PM me and I'll give you a step by step instruction on how to do it.

Just the pics without my comments.

Let's see if Babs' idea works:
