Lord_Crackbone wrote:Been a lurker for a bit here, but I really wanted to give my thoughts and opinions on Heresy's ogres(sorry for the wordy post). I bought and painted the GW ogre team for my league and I was happy with it...until I saw Andy's work. I think their poses and various positioning available are a much better look for an aggressive and combative beast like an ogre BB player. The GW BB ogres are fine, but compared to Heresy's version, they are just too static looking for me. These new ogres actually look like they are attacking an opponent rather than standing there thinking about it. I bought eight of Heresy's ogres, and I think there are plenty of arms, heads, and legs included in that amount to make them look different from each other. The different heads look left and right. The legs are positioned so that they are running or moving forward and you have a choice of either the right foot forward or the left foot forward if you buy more than one ogre. There are two different sets of arms to mix together, again if you buy more than one ogre. You get six different fists with each ogre you buy. I had a lot of fun just sitting down and deciding which body parts to put together. I thought that these ogres were the best I have seen thus far. And the 20% off and free shipping deal that was offered at the time I bought them and a bunch of other figs from Heresy saved me a lot of money. I encourage anyone that is thinking about buying ogres or anything else from Andy and his guys to do so without hesitation. I don't think you will be disappointed with the quality they put out.
Welcome to the forum, nice first post ;)

You're right, Heresy's new Ogres rock. I've got one already and will be getting another asap.

But I Ogres tend to stand around thinking about what they are supose to be doing more then actually doing it. :D
Spoken like a true Ogre coach. Mine tend to be static on the pitch as well. Who would have thought my dice had so many 1s on them?

Hoi...give me my dice back.

I fail my bonehead rolls in waves...or if I fail one, you can guarentee its the one who was about to throw the vital block.

Lately I seem to have amazing first halves, and then come out in the second half and half some of the fastest turns ever. My last game I failed one bonehead roll in the first half and 25 yes 25 in the second half it was ugly.

I figured out afterwards that my Ogre at the Albion Cup spent 40% of the entire tournament boneheaded

That equates to about 38 turns or 5 hours in the game standing around doing nothing.

I bet the main reason the police keep people away from a plane crash is they don't want anybody walking in and lying down in the crash stuff, then, when somebody comes up, act like they just woke up and go, "What was THAT?!"

McDeth wrote:As he said, ive got two of them and 6 of the GW ones. I'm hoping that Andy might do a few more bodies as yeah a full team of the heresy ones just would look a little odd, even with the different heads and hands.
I believe he had an even better torso sculpted and ready, but the green got nudged off his desk and ended up in the wheels of his chair :(

I don't mind the torsos all being the same. It was the legs that bothered me. Too uniform. So I took a razor saw to them and did some ingenious putty work  and the variety got a lot better.
