By that argument strip ball is a completely useless skill, as most teams who don't start with strip ball players will easily be able to get it.
Still, they won't take it on all players, and if you can force them to carry the ball on the one or two players who do, that's a great advantage in itself.

strip ball is a good skill in itself. i myself never take it on dwarves, because i think it just doesn't fit the "philosophy" of play. i mean, dwarves don't dodge and get a 2D against pow hoping that sure hands will free up the ball... that's what Elves do, not dwarves. dwarves get tackle, mighty blow, and make sure that carrier never gets up again
