Team Warp, Humans !

Post by JaM »

Hi,

played these at the BUBBLE last weekend, and had a lot of fun ! Additions to come are: 1-2 more catchers, an apothecary, and a lineman to get a full roster.
This was the tournament set-up though, at YOUR right is a warzone-referee, and the girl is the one catcher I had. The flying guys are my blitzers, the guys with balls ( ) are the throwers, the Ogre is the ehm... Ogre, and the rest are linemen. The coach is on you left...

edit; rerolls and turnmarker are in the front.

Enjoy !

She's the catcher... yeah, more fragile (AV7), not as strong (STR 2), but faster than most and more expensive ;). Kinda fitting :D .

Also couldnt find a suitable "pose" for the catchers, and I had some "Sisters of Sigmar" from Mordheim still in the bitz-box. I think they add a nice touch to the team, too. Next time Ill play with 2 catchers though...

I loved the poses on the Blitzers. Very fresh idea, and quite natural. I mistook them for Norse first, though ;) They look kinda frenzy ...

Unique looking team! I really like it. Except for the bases.... ROUND bases for bloodbowl. :D Who is the guy on the right with the guns?

I though about round bases, but this way they are more easy to place "stunned" and all that.

Ehm... guns ?

Nice job, I like 'em. What's the story with the "flyers" ?

Well, I had to make the blitzers stand out from the normal linemen... So I thought it would be cool for them to look like they are gettting at an opponent, be it grabbing, punching or kicking. And, saying "Harrr !!" when blocking an opponent with them is just too much fun :D !!
Just a different base-color wouldnt do it for me :D . Besides, if you buy a box of thoze models you get a LOT of arms/legs and all that (well, enough for 16 models), so just clipping/glueing some up, and getting ideas is very easy.
I will use the banners in my 40K Chaos army probably...

I think I might paint up a Mino though, and I may add this instead of the Ogre, and try them as a Norse team. Just for fun.
