Also if you came to the Chaos Cup you got a lot of loot and goodies. There were 4 official 2004 Chaos Cup limited edition "items" for each player.

1) Not really a take home item .... but anyone coming to the Chaos Cup got to read a full copy of the 2004 Rules Review that I printed out and brought with me.

2) Joe had these custom clear plastic range rules made that were VERY cool as they also included the throw-in template AND the scatter template at the ends of the range ruler. I'll have to get a picture of this. You got one for signing up at the door for the tournament even if you left early. They were very popular as every table I saw was using them instead of the normal ones.

3) Everyone who showed up and registered also got one of 2 of the official Chaos Cup 2004 Limited Edition miniatures. Here is a picture of the registration miniature:

4) Everyone who stayed until the VERY end (ie the awards) received the other of the official Chaos Cup 2004 Limited Edition miniatures. Here is a picture of the finishing the tournament miniature:

So for all of those of you who already traded me of Juergen Demonfeeder ... congrats he is now an official GW limited edition miniature and he's GW tournament legal now!!!!! :D :D :D

The other figure Garak I'll be trading in the weeks to come so if you see EITHER of these figures on Ebay DO NOT BUY THEM!!!! Seriously ... you'll be able to trade me for either of them with stuff that you can definitely get access to (like figures that you can purchase from Heresy, Shadowforge, or Games Workshop). I have a lot of Juergen's still left also which I'm make available for trades as well.

But the great news is that GW-US had no issue with making these figures tournament legal by endorsing them as the Chaos Cup 2004 official limited edition give-away.

So will the alien used for a Chaos Warrior or is it a new player with its own stats?

I put horns on my mine and use them as Nurgle Beastmen. Use it as a Chaos Warrior if you wish. They are open to use however you wish. They are limited edition figures that have no special stats.

Hmmmmm. I went to the Chaos Cup with 50 Jurgen and 50 Garak. There were 21 coaches to receive the minis. We gave away 1 extra Garak as a bonus prize to Andy Welton (majortusk) who tied for Most Casualties.

Just counted the box and I came home with 29 Jurgen and 22 Garak.

Looks like the new casting is popular ... Joe just had an open box and told folks to take one on behalf of GW and thanks for playing in the Chaos Cup ... and appartently 6 extra walked away in that "honor" system.

Anyway ... I've completely forgotten to give credit where VERY MUCH due.

Narkotic found the metal master of Garak on Ebay and recognized what it was and snatched it up. I PM'd Narkotic and offered to cast the metal master of Garak as the 2nd Blood-bowl.net LE figure. After some discussion, he agreed (a bit worried (as I would be) if he'd ever see the fig again (darn postmasters)). So it arrived from Germany and I sent it registered insured mail to Monday Knight Productions who spun 300 of them for Narkotic and I. When I found out that the Chaos Cup had not requested the normal Major coin ... I asked Joe at GW if I could provide pewter figures to GW would GW be willing to give them out as the official Chaos Cup limited edition miniatures. Joe agreed. So the two long lost greens that Phil Lewis sculpted make it back in as official GW miniatures again. Many thanks to Narkotic for his trust on this venture. Narkotic ... I think the remainder of the spincast will be coming this week or next ... so your allocation of the castings and the original master should hopefully see the mail no later than the first week of December.

If Joe is willing ... I'll work with him so that each year ... another of the Chaos All-Stars are released as the official Chaos Cup miniature for that year.

Current thoughts on a time table for me if this plan works for Joe:

2005: Snake
2006: Sark
2007: Constrictor
2008: Kefft
2009: Max
2010: Currently unnamed CAS player from 2nd edition Star Player book

uh, oh?? So, those 21 coaches were in the fortunate situation to get two different limited minis and still 1/3 of them were greedy and dishonest enough to take one more (=stealing)? If I'd been there and have seen that I'd have broken their lousy fingers on the spot, took away the first two minis from them and kicked their ass out of the venue.

Guess we'll see some of the 6 on ebay soon...

NEVER ... it sits with pride in my premier cabinet in my BB room.

I have a main cabinet and a premier smaller cabinet for special figs. You are currently there right next to Del's work on Jurgen. So have no fear it was definitely NOT redundant. Also you had already mailed me this figure before my deal with Narkotic was even cut.
