Yeah, Those figs are uninspired and ambiguous for positions
...which is why I use Phil's Valks as my Amazon/Norse team
=1 team painted but 2 playable teams. Works for the "Lost Vikings in South America" Fluff too.

I use all the GW Zon blitzer and lino figures as linos and Phils Phigs Valks V3 and V4 as blitzers.

Thanks. They were a long time in the making, absolutely horrible figures to paint, had a rant about them back when I finished them. If you don't know the story, they got lost and were replaced with a team of Phil's Valks (which were a joy to paint in comparison).Bonehead wrote:@Deathwing
This team looks absolutely fantastic.

BTW I got nearly converted to base rings because of my Shadowforge nun team. Because they aren't standard models having some sort of color coding is vital for tournament play.
However what I've got is squad numbers front & back on the base - and they are colored correctly (thanks Indigo they are smashing!).

Yeah, colour coding is definitely required on the Amazon models and, IMO, colour coding the feathers isn't enough.
Different coloured feathers make for easy differentiation side-by-side in good lighting, but in dimmer light with the whole team in a ruck on the board, some lying down etc. - it's too tricky. Go with base rings/coloured numbers.
