Better clarify what I meant there...

LRB rules apply for stuff like the apothecary, but PBEM rules apply for side step and shadowing (which we don't have any of, unless there's a pro elf team).

@ Darknova - You misunderstand. The LPL has a houserule that if you Apo a player, they go to the Reserves box, not back on the field. The standard PBeM rule is the same as Tabletop BB, in that if you heal a player, they go back prone to the square they started. If you need to move into/through that square, you should check with your oppo if they want to heal the player first.

Wait just a minute. Let me clarify.

I am playing according to the LBR3.0. So placed the healed player back on the field. On which opponent commented I could not do that due to 'pbem' rules. So I asked in this thread, if we are playing these rules in the gore grail.

But now I understand that the are only used in "LPL" and it's not common. So I will not use those "LPL" rules.

But by now I'm causing a lot of confusion and I do not have the intention to flame my opponent.

So shall we forget about it ??

Btw. Ithilkir this may come as a shock to you but I am playing pro-elfs this tourney. And YES they need that apo badly :-)

ok, seems I've been wrong since I've been playing PBeM

I thought it sounded feasible because in PBeM you need to limit the number of times you pass the file back and forth because it could take a day to come back (hence shadowing and sidestep)

theoretically everytime you broke armour you would have to ask about apoths (in tournament play I would use a Apoth on a stunned player, if I could score, or stop a score)

ok, not stunned because they would already be on the pitch, but you get what I mean.

but if I've been wrong then I'll adjust my play accordingly :)

pbem etiquette tends to be to leave CAS that you might want to Apo (hence your opponent will probably consider it) on the pitch, with a note to use their apo or to apply the injury. If the player might get in the way of play they should be removed with a note left as to where they were in case your opponent wants to apo and so return them to the pitch.

In a tournament scenario it is conceivable that a prone player might block a TD simply by being in the way in which case you might consider apoing a KO. Or even with a jump up player a stun so that they can act next turn. In either case common sense should be applied, put yourself in your opponents place, would you want a prone player left blocking a path? If yes then send the file back, if no play on to the end of your turn and point out the injury when you send the file back.

I have to agree with Al here, it seems the logical way to go.

As for the Grail

vs Levinas - dirty dancing dodging gobbos have an outside chance of stealing the ball (and an unlikely victory!?!?). 1-1 at the mo.

vs Duke Jan - he must be have lavishly covered in 'Uncle Andy's Unlucky Aftershave' before this game. The 'flings can't dodge and have had their number heavily reduced (4 cas + 1 fouled off and 3? in the KO box). CDs go 2-0 up next turn.

vs Orin - awaiting next turn.

vs Ziggi - the CDs got lucky once, but I feel he may well be on his way to a 1-0 lead in the next turn (or 2).

Cheers

3 games just about started now.

1-0 up against Inter Mithril, not sure my elves will survive another 14 turns vs dwarves though. Especially since they have the ref.

Kicked to Cerebus' Necros. Only played a turn each so far though.

Just setup to kick to Hangus' Lizzies - no krox so dodging shouldn't be too scary.

Leipziger - you'll be pleaseed to hear that the Goblin who hoped to grab the ball and run for the endzone fell over :( and KO'd himself :o !

Better luck against the Emerald Dragons as a plucky goblin was thrown through the air and put in place to recieve a handoff for the TD... So it's 2-1 to the Flash there :D but we've run out of rerolls and goblins are getting a bit thin on the ground too....

And Orin's orcs... well let's say that the dodge-blitz 2GFI combo from a troll was asking just a little much...

Hmm... it seems that I'm one of the slowest players in our group, but I actually have a valid excuse: I'm currently writing an essay for my studies. However, I have to hand it in by midnight, so from then on I'll be able to play a little faster :)

Just skipped into a 1-0 lead against Ziggi's elves.

Levinas's goblins are turning out to be a tough bunch (Its now 9 plays 8!) and that game could still go either way.

Cheers
