You forgot to add the cost of a decent paint stripper

Anyway, congrats. I saw them too, but was not sure if they are worth 150US$ as I have perceived them as "unpainted". But with the strong Euro they are just 115 Euro which means just 2 times their original retail price at that time (I guess they were 45US$ which was 60 euro back then??)

I wanted this team since the summer or so, and now had a chance to get it at a price I could currently just not afford...

Now I hope they will arrive... The seller seemed a bit grumpy about not getting the same amount of money as Dave paid...

What is the seller complaining about? He got 100GBPs for a team of 12 players, Dave paid 200GBPs for a team twice as large in the amount of figs AND they were painted much better.

At the end both sellers got the same margin out of it...

he wasn't literally complaining, just not very kind either and charged 17,50 for postage... (I often noticed that the better I thought a deal was on ebay, the higher the postage will be...)

Let's just hope he does not but 167,50$ value onto the envelope ... customs and import tax will charge you a nice additional 30-40 Euro

I bought a 2nd ed Dwarf team once for a reasonable price from a US seller. I asked him to ship it registered and he slammed a 200US$ price tag onto the customs declaration (!). I received the package which had been opened by German custom officials and who inserted a notification form. There was one option crossed, saying: "wrong declaration of value???"

I didn't need to pay any customs.
