Since I'm a HeroClix player too I thought about buying that thing before. The price is still high, but not too high. It's probably better to get one of these than trying to build one myself.

A nice partitioned small tool box type thing from your local hardware store will do. Wrap 'em up in some tissues or something and they'll be fine. Also lots of varnish helps.
