Yes. Coat D'Arms used to make Citadel paints before they switched manufacturer a few years ago. Coat D'Arms still produce exactly the same colours as the old paints, generally with very similar names.

True that. I still have Hex and even Round flip top pots from the late 80's early 90's. That's about 15 years. You're lucky if the new pots last more than 1 year before drying up.

BTW, Vallejo sells empty paint droppers. You can pop the dripper top out to pour in your one color/mix, though they cost ~$1 US though. I did find a distributor once that had similar bottles for .25 each, but they only sold in orders of 1000+ :x

VIVA VALLEJO!!

Try Western Plastics (http://www.western-plastics.com/products1.shtml) and the 0.25oz Boston Round bottles with dropper tips and caps. They don't list prices online since the bottles/tips/caps are all technically sold separately and it all varies with quanitity, but just give them a call for a quote. I got that link from another painting site and ordered 100 bottles (with tips and caps) about 2 years ago. I don't remember exactly how much the total was, but I do know it was much, much closer to $0.25/bottle than $1, even with shipping included.

ok am getting the bug for new paint....

1. Right the amazing Vallejo colours are they just better becasue the consistancy is stronger - ie yellow classic crap GW colour. - that would explain a lot of people prefering them i guess.

2. Does the pigment allow you to mix in a different way? ie red classic colour that does not really mix with other colours, does the vallejo paint allow red and brown - or red and black even?

please give the secrets away to WHY better. must say post xmas think i will have to get the 60set of colours and try.

er question 2.
Can you mix any colour with another and get a workable mixture. Good example is yellow and black normally make a nasty brown not the darker shade that would occur with real dyes. Maybe another example that you cant do with GW paint is mix purple into red - ends up on a figure a colour that cannot be highlighted.

------
quick edit found example on net...

ok dont have to read but "...I move on to a Liche/Warlock mixture. The Liche overpowers the Warlock Purple quite easily, so the first bright hilight is a 60/40 mixture of Warlock to Liche. "

Perfect example some colour if you mix 25% / 75% is still overpowered becasue of the pigment. White is actually good for this as highlight as is mega strong.

- think i may have lost people by now, but is vallejo any better than GW in this respect?

cheers if anyone can help
