Useless git had managed a measly 2(!) cas in the 20+ games he'd played, and nothing else, for a grand total of 4 SPP's.

Coach told the Apo to stay sitting.
Stumbled on this thread and had a blast reading it. But this one had me in tears, with people in the computer room looking on strangely  . In other words, the way they usually look at me  .

In the fourth game of the season, the High Elf lineman Falamuil met his end today as his team battled the Necros. While Falamuil had gone the season without earning any Star Player Points, his assistance on the line never went unappreciated by his teammates and he always seemed content to let others take the glory while he quietly made the plays a possibility.

The HE coach, Lheig Holas, made a public statement after the game offering his deepest sympathies to Falamuil's family. Falamuil is survived by his wife and three children: the family will likely be receiving pay for the loss of their beloved husband & father, and information will be provided soon if people would like to make contributions to the BloodBowl League in Falamuil's memory.

After Lheig Holas's statement, the Necromantic coach attempted to let people know they could still watch Falamuil play for his team for the duraton of the season, but the microphone was quickly snatched from his hands as his wife was escorted from the room in tears.

The Elf team's Apothecary could not be reached for comment on why Falamuil's termination could not be prevented. After being with the team for two games thus far without being required, some people believe she simply did not feel appreciated enough by the team to do her job when the time came. More on this story as it develops.

Eric "The Red" Ericsson, star Blitzer on the Norse team Nordland Wolves (same team as Wulf Sternhammer).

Killed by a DP Hobgob, after the Apo had already tried (and failed) to revive the teams Mino.

Eric had a 20k bounty on his head, after leading the league in Cas for a while.

In an approx 30 game career, he finally died on the BB pitch, as he would have wanted.

Final Stats:
Block, Frenzy, Jump Up, Mighty Blow, Piling On, Tackle, Stand Firm
2 TD, 21 Cas, 3 MVP's.

He will be remembered.

VALHALLA!

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Ah, thinking back to the 2002-3003 season in CLBBBL, and my all slayer (miniatures, not stats) dwarf team Death Wish.

Closing in on the end season, the team had recently lost one of their 2 star slayers.
Then, in the first of 4 championship games, Death Wish was facing the orc team WWF.

Late in the second half, the game was tied at 1-1, and the ball was bouncing all over the place.
Death Wish's star ally human catcher, Bwilsom Quickfeeter, took a blow to the head and was stunned. The head coach needed his speed on the pitch, and decided to use the teams apothecary!

About 10 seconds later, second star slayer Ini Kamoze, veteran of 50 games, got a mouthful of teeth, and expired.
Ini Kamoze, 5328
block, frenzy, dauntless, thick skull, mighty blow, piling on, stand firm, break tackle.
2 Tds, 5 MVPs, 34 Casualties: 99 spp.

Sigh.
Well, at least Bwilsom Quickfeeter actually recovered the ball and scored - and actually managed to survive as the leagues top TD-scorer!
Check out Bwilsom here:

That's so typical for a DE apo.Either the apo of my DE team misses the match due the HC roll or he will fail if he is needed.

Karmatra Wrath
Blitz-ra
7 3 2 8
Block, Sure Hands, Guard
9 TD's, 4 Cas

died on git foul by a hobgoblin

He managed to score a TD in our Chaos Cup championship game (a 4 way match) --took the handoff in and ran into the endzone to stunned amazement of opposing coaches. Woodies ended winning tho (Jordell).
But whent he money came out the woodies got 100K while we got 350k for finishing 2nd :)

Not my player but a player in my league that needs mentioning.

Morning Dew--Lion Warrior
7 2 4 6 Catch, Block, Dauntless, Dodge, Kick, Leap
11 CMP
9 TD
4 CAS
6 MVP
76 Spp's

This hearty elf played 30+ games, had a MV, ST and AV gimp yet still showed up to play every day. He finally died trying to help his buddies block, failed a gfi to take away an assist, rr 1, DEAD, apothecary failed.

My favorite goblin on my Orc team

Francis Bacon
6 3 3 7
Blodge, Right Stuff, Stunty, +1ST
2 TDs
1 MVP
5 :o CAS

He was known for performing his famous Goblin Flying Dropkick. He died when 3 cowardly dwarves ganged up on him.

Well, my star Orge thrower, Duf Da Decapitator, managed to get teh ball deep in the opposing side of the field in a game between my goblin team the Shin Bittaz and a team of Skaven lead by star player Stumpy McScores alot (hes a gutter runner with not legs.....) So Duff picks up the ball and begins to head down field, he's close but to get tehre he's gonaa need to go for it! First steps he ok, the second steps he stumbles I usea team reroll and he still goes down. He crashes to the pitch I roll to beat his armour 11! Good GOD! I shout I roll for the injury......12!!!! (stream or explitives deleated). the apethecary tries but has no luck.... this went down as a sad day for the Goblins, star player Daron VonNoFight said that the team would probably never recover, and it didn't

Goblin team you say? What rules were you playing? Ogres cannot use team RR's unless they are on an ogre team! Me thinks the RR was illegal, so you would have gone done after the first GFI. The second die roll that gave you a one, would have been part of the armour roll and in that case the armour would not have been broken! Boy Nuffle made you pay really hard for this error! :o
Reading your post however makes me think you used old third edition rules and then you did all OK. Sorry to see such a player go. I hope you will get over your loss!

Huh?

Post by thecheat231 »

You said "old third edition rules"

Would these be ones that were printed in the blood bowl rule (not trying to be sarcastic or mean) because in that game we were just playing with the rules from the free copy of blood bowl i revieced from games day (shouted the loudest, but before anyone had started) becuase until we changed to the living ruloe book rules online, ogres could use team re rolls. Sorry I just find the crazy editions confusing because GW really lets the fanatic squad edo whatever they want.
