Was joking, but....managed to get on with some over the weekend, but the Dwarf Flesh had indeed dried out, and I just about saved enough Blazing Orange to finish what I needed.

Have you thought of a name for heim yet? What about a number? There is a complete list of the names and numbers on page 7 of this thread.

JK- I have 19 Ogres either done or in someone's hands. The most recent is Karl Lagerbottom's. I have heard nothing from Jay the lazy sod but I was letting him beat me up in PBeM so that must have been taking up all his painting time.

Thanks val. Despite my nutty work schedule, my l'il dude is finally put together. I'm going to try to greenstuff him this week. Snots, I couldn't pick up a large round base, but I have a square one. Would that work? I went to my local hobby shop and they just had bags of small bases, so I looked for a large fig from all the lines, and they're all using the square bases. I hate to use it, so I won't if it won't work for you. I'll have to order an Ogre and use the base it comes with if that's required. Painting should start this weekend when I get back from a conference I have to attend.

Nope, no name or number as yet...He's gonna have a pink mohawk though, a la me at Spiky this year.

Did buy some more Dwarf Flesh today so I can continue...he's actually taking shape paint wise after a little burst over the weekend, I'll try and get a WIP pic up later this week.

wanted to resurrect the thread since I've been able to make a lot of progress on my ogre this week (thank god another person was hired to help me out

)

My guy's almost finished, just need to do some black lining, some high-lighting here and there, cleanups, and general detail work. I think he's going to look pretty well, and hold his own on the team. I haven't done any converting, b/c he didn't really lend himself to something that hasn't been done by others, so I tried to give him a unique look just by painting. He's got "love" and "hate" tattooed on his fingers, and I've given him eyeblack. subtle, but I think it works really nicely. no digicam, so snots will have to do the posting when he gets in a week or so.

Seriously, I can't wait. I still need to post picks of Woody, Dwarfcoach's contribution to the team. I'll wait till yours gets here. I think Matt's is getting close too.

Ahh man, don't do that, you know I had a bit of a painters-block doing my Ogre (he has a mohawk therefore the name

) and he's not my best paint job. If you compare him to the real Woodys work then he will probably look much, much worse....

heheh, I wish I could give a sneak preview. Maybe if I run into mrin this soon he can take a pic, I know he's got a camera.

I was real concerned about orange and white. But I think it really works. There's more white than orange, and I've muddied him up a bit in places, so it's not like it's a sparkling white. The orange is mostly a few armor pieces, and I've added a touch of metallic drybrush to him so it looks like some of the orange shin guards have been worn down a bit by all the contact he has in scrums. Again, going for the "veteran" look. A little more realistice, imo, and does away with a clean and brand new look, if that makes sense. I think he'll look like a an ogre that's been in his fair share of blood bowl scrums.
