Discuss Fantasy football-style board games - GW's Blood Bowl, Impact!'s Elfball, Privateer Press' Grind, Heresy's Deathball, etc. THIS IS NOT AN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL SITE!
A forum for football mini's talk.......painting, converting etc. etc. or showing off great accessories that make playing the game easier, cooler or more fun.
Hmm, earthy colours for flesh and fur and a primary earthy colour for the uniform. Great contrast!
Contrast can be achieved in a lot more ways than colour alone. Think outside the square a bit more mate. At the end of the day its preference of style as well. Look at Victoria Lamb and Glen Lamprecht's (sp?) work, basically no contrast on colour but outstanding miniatures and they look so much more real and characterful than the fresh out of the painting factory Wong style.
This team should knock the Golden Demons for six then. This is more about enthusiasm than ability and the basic rule across the board for participants is keep it simple. Victoria Lamb and Glen Lamprecht's ? Wong style? Sorry i'm not familiar with whats hot and what's not. Any examples?

Escuse me if I don't say Wow.
Interesting and some very well made diarama's.
This sentence from Tackledummy....."Think outside the square a bit more mate."........kinda gave me the goat . Substitute "mate" for "Del" and I might not bite but I read it the wrong way and get the feeling he's not seen what I paint! or make My immediate reply is "get back in your box" because in the Legacy entries it's about trying your best even if you freely admit you paint with a stick. As you said Trav.."But, with all respect, thats another level of painting as i can do and i would expect here at a TBB legacy team !" 99% true. And that's the reason why I feel it would be better to have some contrasting colours.

I think Bobby Wong's stuff is very nice, but the photoshop backgrounds etc make them look better and also make me wonder if anything else has been modified... i didn;t know Terminator's lighs actually worked!
Vicci Lamb's stuff is more ambitious, but I'm bored of seeing mud coloured Orcs... her Orc stuff could have been SO much better.. but then people have said that to me before, so I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
Del, you're not quite Mike McVey yet mate, be careful your success doesn't go to your head...
Oh, too late...

Dont be too harsh as one of the better (best?) painters here I take any advice real gem of advice - not sure many of the legacy entries before deserve any acolade at all.
I am a decent painter and I know Longfang is from his work but you still need to be critical to improve Im sure most would admit they are still learning new things, but the bone idea IMHO is way beyond most people that will be involved.
I would love to do a fig as i normally lose way the thread is going with legacy teams; but hope most people will learn something about compositition from this. Trust me most winning paint jobs have outstanding composition - its not just in a nice bit of blending.
