Anyone use spray primer outside when it's cold?

How cold is too cold to use spray primer?

I did a week ago.
The temperature of aroun 0Â°C didn't seem to matter.

Well, I wouldn't be spraying my minis outside this time of year ... but hey that's just me. Perhaps you were lucky Emperor ... but sometimes your paint will become all grainy and it'll have a hard time sticking to the surface if the temperature is too low. But if you know something else plz share your experiences ... we should all learn something new every day, right?

It's not so much the temperature that you need to worry about. It's the humidity. I've all but given up spray priming down here in Florida.

Although Dec.-Feb. are some of the driest months down here and I would do mass priming for the year.

yeah heat is fine or cold - but water/vapor is a knightmare. if you live somewhere wet and shitty i would go straight for the brush.
Actually after a number of years painting its still good practice to see how even a coat you can base with...

A brush works better for me than a spray can. I use a 50/50 mix of Skull white and water, aiming for a coat of paint just thick enough to take the shine from the mini.
Undercoating in black is even easier: I use ordinary ink for fountain pens, straight from the bottle. Gives a very even and thorough undercoat.
