WIP: Ogre Preview

well, after seeing the nice poses of "ogres in movement" made by Tim i started to cut and greenstuff a bit , too

And after writing about the static poses of the Ogrekingdom ogres i tried a bit more dynamic pose.

Here my running ogre. After bit bending the right foot, cutting the left leg and the right hand, some milldrilling, some greenstuffing later he looks like this. Just basic greenstuffing... no details, shoulderpads or artwork until now. The head is just fixed and no GS of the back of the head yet.

Well , thats now 7 ogres ready for detailGS, 2 still to "build"...

WOW what else can you say unbelivale work, Games Workshop shop give you a job maybe you can brreaath some life into their Bloo Bowl line.
Just one question where did you get the orges to start with

That looks great Trav! I've got a few GW Ogres sitting here that have to be put together and that gives me some inspiration.

Just one question where did you get the orges to start with

as snot wrote... all the parts are from the original GW BB ogres. You need "just" a lot of different blisterpacks or the BB ogre box ( which isnt cheap

) to get all the different posible parts to play with to find a nice pose ( and some imagination

)... The conversions are quite easy with greenstuff as its a big mini, just cutting takes a while

GW, or preferably from Heresy (they sell double amount for less).

Old Skol Elf Coach: Nothing at all against Heresy but since you're in the States, I highly recommend Neal at The WarStore instead. Even you just get the green stuff and nothing else, you'll save plenty of money. If you want to save on shipping, order $75 worth of stuff, total, and it'll ship via USPS Priority for free. I've ordered from there on several occasions and couldn't have been happier.

Thanks for the advice i was looking in to buying some minis from New Wave and was told to stay away from them so i checked out Warstore quicly and haven't been back there since as i've bought some mini's from snots who is great by the way. if you need something check him out. but i will plan on buy greenstuff from them then if i can't find it in a local modelling store

nice idea !

I got two of these cheerleaders and cut one a bit, too. Not sure, what i will do with all those parts

. But i will use them as cheerleader later.

Right now iÂ´m finishing the second running ogre, just one hand and the head to do. Maybe picts this week ?

It seems, there will be a lot of nice (or interesting

) ogre teams around the next time. Maybe a only ogre tournament sometimes ?

Oh that is very nice, i paint blue gobbo's, and people start muttering about smurfs, others do it, and it's "a nice contrast!!!!!"!

I love the female ogre conversion. She looks great!
