I would be interested in seeing these rules.

Any chance of getting them up here?

Wasn't there a Desertbowl ruleset in one of the BB mags?

Nah, that was "Dessertbowl" for halfling leagues.

Don't think so, but you could always give Fanatic an email.

Ok this is the bare bones of what i have... i havent any fluff, just a few basic idea for game mechanisms. tornadoes i feel need a lot of work to be playable. cactuses i think are spot on. anyway here is what i have...

Background

TBD

Rules

All team rosters that you can use in the LRB can be used in Desertbowl. You can also make up your own teams like the “Desert Dogsâ€

You could add some vicious animals like scorpions and snakes. And how about a camelcaravan plowing through the field leaving sticky dung all over making the move for all -1 and the stench being horrible, many players wouldn't like to play any more.

Add an oasis with fresh water to get an extra team RR.

Just some basic thoughts, hope it helps you.

If you can get your hands on a copy of the 2001 Annual there is rules for Jungle Bowl - with some very interesting rules on how to place the trees - you might wish to do the same for the cacti.
