Chaos Dwarves tr100 in LRB4
I'm looking at potentially playing CD's in my next league, as my current one is drawing ever closer to a finish, but now that RR's are 70k for the team I'm having issues deciding what to do for a starting lineup. My current idea is this....
4 CD Blockers
6 Hobgoblins
1 Minotaur
4 RR's
9 FF
At 70k I just see purchasing more RR's down the line as really cost-prohibitive, so I stacked it early. Of course, I could drop to 3RR and have 6 Blockers/4 Hobs but truthfully I'm a little uncomfortable with only 4 players on the roster having 6MA and AG higher than 2 (im currently playing High Elves so CD's are a bit of a change from what im used to). I did want to start with Bull Centaurs, but they're so expensive i thought in the long run I'd be better off waiting to purchase them.
Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks

10 games to buy 2 BC's and 2 CD's develop them is not enough, imo. In 6 games i've bought 3 catchers for a high elf team, so that is about the same as 2 bc's , so by the end of the season you *might* have a full roster, with a couple of undeveloped positionals. then you need to learn at least break tackle and block with the BC's and gaurd with the CD's. I'd drop down to 3 RR's and upgrade to either one BC + one CD instead of one hobgob+ mino, imo. mino isnt very important to develop anymore now that they don't have general, so he is a good last purchase on the team. might even want to go with a troll instead(rr still allows them right?) , as trolls are better punching bags, and don't need block as much (not a primary blitzer like the mino is)

I'd agree - Troll over the mino and probably don't bother with the Big Guy at all.
Also remember if you don't start with the Bulls they may take longer to skill up than they would from the start. Other teams will be better able to stop them scoring - either with better markers (dodge, sidestep) or by getting the ball off them (strip ball etc).

I can just agree with the others.
Go with 2 Bulls
3 RR would be more then enough.
forget the Mino, 2 many turnovers because of frenzy and no Block in RR04

I'm tired of lurking, so heres the first post
I'd even go further and go with 2 rerolls. I like to buy the expensive players right away and have more time to develop them. You can survive with only 2 rerolls. Save them for all the ball handling. I'd use the following roster
100K Troll
260K Bull Centaur
140K 2 Chaos Dwarves
280K 7 Hobgoblins
140K 2 rerolls
80K 8 fan factor
Always try to block with the dwarves first. Use the troll as a road block. The 5 ST, 9AV and reg will make him last a long time and cause head aches for most teams. A great diversion... Plus 3 players with 4+ str will give teams bigger headaches than
Use the rerolls for ball handling and try to get the leader skill if your having problems. Go for sure hands on the bull cenatur and you should hopefully be okay. Keep ball handling to a minimum.
Buy an apoth, then dwarf, reroll, dwarf, dwarf.... You could even go with one less hobgoblin, +1FF and 30K in the treasury to get a head start.
