What colour do you give troll slayers? Just want to see if there's any kind of general opinion on this. I'm going green, since it's the only "free" slot. Gray for longbeard, red for blitzers, white for runners and green for slayers. Makes sense?

Green is for blockers

Special positions like Slayers or Witch elves usually have purple or blue.

Nark is right.. though I tend to keep Purple exclusively for Star Players.. Blue might look nice..

Yeah, I know green is for blockers... Purple was never an option really, as there was no purple bases around "back then". =)

I was thinking about giving them a black base, the same as big guys... I'll never paint them purple. =D

I think mine are black. *checks* yes, Black.
I don't think its THAT important if you're not being obscure with your figs though.

I you like green then go with green. The importent thing is that you can tell the difference!

actually, the important thing should be that your opponent can tell the difference, but if it helps you too then even better... :wink:

I'd go for purple... that's the colour I have my witch elves' base rings.

Blue is reserved for kickers if they ever become official again :wink:

I have used green for slayers in my dwarfteam, but purple or black is equally as effective.

Since my Dark Elves are 2nd ed i use catchers as witches and they have yellow base.

I never knew that there were "official" colors for the base... I agree with Norse, just make sure the opponent knows/sees the difference (see the marauders-thread for my human team, difference is easy there I think).

Can anyone give me the full listing ? I like to know what I am looking at next tournament ;).

white = throwers (or Runners)
yellow = catchers (or Gutter Runners, Witch Elves)
green = blockers (or Troll Slayers)
red = blitzers
grey = linemen
blue = kickers
and then the one i didn't know purple = star players
