Actually, most of the figs I've seen Chairface post I believe can be converted to BB, and I'm a shite converter.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Some of us are just better at converting than others I guess.

So what's so out-of-place and "not Blood Bowl" here?
L-R: Catcher, Lineman, Blitzer, Blitzer, Lineman, Lineman, Lineman, Thrower
Makes a pretty damned good-looking team, IMO. Although, as illustrated by Darkson's link, I think the problem would be stretching the scale, much moreso than the figures being inappropriate at all.

Oh I've got a good idea! Apparently a company called games workshop makes some figures that are just perfect for Bloobowl.

For the record, Chairface, I wasn't really responding to you; I've never viewed anything you've written as an attack. I'm not sure how or why I could, seeing as you and I have both been criticized for pointing out non-GW, non-official-BB figs in the past. You're quite right in that in most of these cases, it's going to be an esthetics thing, and you can't argue people's tastes. If you looked at a team of these Confrontation/Ragnarok humans, envisioned them converted for Blood Bowl and said, for example, "I don't care for their armor, I think it's ugly," then fine, end of discussion. I can't -- and wouldn't want to try to -- convince you that you should like armor you find to be ugly. But there's a difference between someone saying that and someone saying the figures never should've been shown here because they're inappropriate and no conversion possibility exists at all.
None of the figures posted by you (Chairface), me, or Longfang, have been all that far removed, nor would most of them take much conversion at all. That's why I find Laxon's comments to be so silly. No one's linking to He-Man dolls or porcelain horses or anything else that's similarly outrageous. But the official GW Human team has humans wearing armor in which catchers are stretching with a hand upraised, looking up for a pass. Blitzers are running forward with an arm raised back in striking pose. Lineman are in neutral guarding poses, and the thrower is looking downfield with an arm cocked back to pass. And if you snipped the clubs from the Ragnarok guys and didn't glue on their shields you'd have the same thing. Humans, in armor, in the very same poses I just described -- in virtually the same ratios, even! Saying they'd be ugly after conversion, well, that's up to the individual viewer. But how can one say they're not even appropriate for BB conversion consideration in the first place?
Obviously, I'm a fan of Reaper figs, and between their Dark Heaven and Warlord lines, they've got over 1,000 figures out now. Maybe that's not much compared to the history of GW, but that's still a good-sized chunk. And have I been spamming this board with every single mini they've ever made? No, I haven't. And that's because out of those 1,000, how many do I feel are BB appropriate? Far less than 100, certainly, off the top of my head. And so when someone -- myself, for example -- shows some figs that I do feel could convert approriately, and it's obvious from past posts that the majority of readers here feel the same, I don't see what's so tough about letting us discuss them without telling us we're out of bounds.
Meh. That's already far more words than I'd intended to devote to the subject so I'll stop now, for good. Chair, I never thought you were attacking anyone; everyone has their own opinion when it comes to basic esthetics. Laxon and I, I'm guessing, will simply never see eye-to-eye on this. But there have been far more people replying on these threads saying, "Yeah, that's cool," than not, so I'll continue to post them if I find something I think most people would be interested in for a Blood Bowl sense. Now if the moderators tell me stop, I will. Otherwise, I'll just mark the subject line clearly enough that those who don't want to look, don't have to.
