i only answered to what was an injust attack. i have nothing personnaly against either of you, i'm only reacting within this thread. and i would have gladly stopped that if it hadn't been "reactivated" again and again.

once again, i've repeated numerous times that i had no problem with the current human roster. and i also must remind you that we are in the house rule section. so we're not actually proposing any official rule. we are talking about house rules. as plasmoid proposed a different HE roster for example, i shared, in answer to absent's wish to boost the team, what could be an adequate boost which would fit the idea of the human roster being the closest to a regular football team. but all that i'm saying now was very clearly written before, that's why i reacted badly to the attacks.

Exactly, we are on house rule forum, even if I think Str 2 catchers should be official, but hey ...
So, to go back on last on-topic point I saw, I can't imagine people here are strength 1, because you can take a look at a halfling : half the size of a human, something like 3 feets, 60 pounds ... Not professionnals (no acces to gen or passing skills) even if they are strong for halflings they can't be as strong as humans, or only one or two exceptionnal ones. (take +2 strenght).
With only one point of difference between half and human, and one point between humans and chaos warrior, and between chaos warrior and ogre, you can't have difference inside one race.

But maybe we already have talk about it and I can't imagine how people can tell humans are strength 1

There's a big difference between calling an idea or a point of view 'stupid' (I know plenty of very intelligent people that come up with 'stupid' ideas on occasion

) and calling a person stupid.

The former is directed at an idea, the latter is directed directly at the person involved and is much more personal and therefore unacceptable.
Please take note of the difference.

my points:

1. 8 MA complements 2 ST

2. Removing the Ogre from human team in any form would be bad, bad, bad.

3. Humans are a decent team...not top but middle ground and able to take on anyone and have a decent chance of winning.

well, i was offended by those comments nevertheless. but it seems that _i_ don't have the right to be offended by something. so when i get attacked, i should just forget about it and don't take it personally, but when i answer, people have all the right to feel attacked personally and be offended.
ok, well on these veryyyyyy objective bases, i can see what i did wrong.

let's just delete my whole posts and leave gken's ones then.
after all, i shouldn't be offended when he deliberately misreads me (i say "Ogres are not human" he answers "that's stupid they are on the human roster". i mean, i'm not a native english speaker, but i can bet my arm that "Ogres are not human" is a simple enough sentence, and that unless you're drunk, you cannot really say the contrary). or when he keeps on going with the "make up your mind" crap, after i have clearly explained it two or three times. but no, you're right, that's not being uselessly aggressive after me, of course.

i agree that ogres are not humans.

but ogres are on the human team and an integral part of it.

and although ogres aren't humans they have been on human teams forever as part of the fluff....which may as well make them big humans.

so that's the reason I think your argument is invalid.

what about you stop repeating all the time "your argument is invalid", "your idea is stupid", "your post don't make sense" ? i'm not english, but i really think it is being rude as well. don't expect people not to be rude when you keep throwing this junk at their face.

as for what you said, it is not even important. i said "Ogres are not human". which they are not. you said "lol you are wrong". your whole line of answer was like this in the thread, and yet you still try and find a way to justify what you post. and after that, _i_ am the one being rude for no reason, riiiight.

....and I think that might be some of the problem. interpretation into a harsh form of translation. but never said stupid in my posts. ....just double checked...yep no stupid.

maybe saying invalid was strong, but I think you take it too personal. those are just my counterpoints. I even tried to keep it short an sweet.

well i apologize if you got offended gus, but I think you are really reading too much into it. But I never once cursed or attacked you personally....which you have done more than once...and you haven't apologized either...just saying I can't handle it, when I went out of my way to not attack you personally.

Gus i never said either of those things. silly yes. stupid no.

and i just said "that's silly" was my direct quote. Please don't misquote me. And it refered to when you said ogres shouldn't be on the human team WITHOUT saying that you would boost the catchers. So please read things in context.

dictionary research for "silly" gave among other things: "inspiring scornful pity". "stupid" returned "marked by a lack of intelligence".
seriously, can you understand that you cannot just use one "insult" pretending it's a light and nice thing, and then get all offended when you're returned another "insult", which is not even that bad ? i haven't sweared, i haven't written 4 lines of bad words. i said "stupid". it's like telling me to "f*** off" and think it's ok, and then getting offended if i say the same thing but without masking the letters. the meaning is the same. you wanted to criticize my idea, but you didn't say "i disagree, according to me blabla" no, you said "your argument is silly", "you are off topic", "you don't know what you're saying", etc. where is the nice behaviour in that ? i agree that i reacted "violently", but i disagree when you say the original thing was nothing to react about. if you had not wanted to "attack" me, you would have used another tone.
